Winding Road reports that BMW announced that the 1-Series will come to the US in a corporate event.
The first model will be the 135i with the 130i model coming later. The 135i is equipped with a twin-turbo 3L engine.
Speculated pricings suggest that it will slot between the MINI's and the 3-Series's.
It is great news that the 1-Series is coming over to North America. A similar attempt has been done by Audi with their A3 hatchback in bringing European premium hatchbacks over, but with a premium price. BMW has more credibility in marketing so we'll see how this shapes up.
