Automobile Magazine is reporting that the FT-HS Concept has been green-lighted for production as early as 2009. The FT-HS Concept made its debut in Geneva this year, featuring a hybrid powertrain.
Toyota let it slip at the Detroit Autoshow when they mentioned the concept could provide cues to its Supra successor, coming in 2009. It's unclear whether it will retain the Supra name. The speculated pricing for the production FT-HS is between $30,000 to $40,000. It is also unclear whether the production FT-HS, if it's produced ever, will feature the hybrid powertrain, also found on the Lexus GS450h. The concept features a 50:50 weight balance and a 0-to-60 time of under 4 seconds.
