Set to debut in Tokyo next month, the next-generation Subaru Impreza WRX STi has undergone years of hefty testing at the renowned Nurburgring track. Based on the new Impreza Hatchback, the new WRX STi will once again do its best to triumph the also recently launched Mitsubishi Evo X. While the Evo stays in its sedan form, the new STi will most likely stay as a hatchback. However, that's not saying Subaru won't release a 4-door variant in the near future.The STi will be packed with a 2.5L 4-cylinder turbo, with horsepower in excess of 300. Speculations point to a 0-62MPH time of a mere 4.5 seconds.
