New Car: 2010 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 Super Crew

Ford, egged on by the profits produced by its past Harley-Davidson F-series trucks, is now giving the Harley treatment to its redesigned 2010 F-150 SuperCrew. Several exterior tweaks distinguish the Harley version from lesser F-150s, and the six-bar grille, 22-inch wheels, special exhaust, and two-tone black and dark purple look should make quite a statement on trips to Sturgis. Once in the saddle—that’s what real men call seats—be sure to notice the cloisonné-style badges on the seats and console. Ford tells us that “the theme of the seat was designed to resemble a Harley biker jacket.” Harley Davidson badges abound in case the buyer worries that people might mistake him for a Honda Goldwing enthusiast.
The only engine will be the F-150’s most powerful current choice, the 320-hp version of the 24-valve 5.4-liter V-8. A six-speed automatic will be standard and a unique four-wheel-drive system with all-wheel-drive capability will be optional when the Harley Davidson goes on sale later this summer.
