New Car: 2010 Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu
As one of the featured marquees of this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Bugatti had to do a little showing off. It's also the automaker's 100th anniversary, so how about a centennial celebration? Welcome the "Sang Bleu," then. It's a custom Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport (see our First Drive), boasting unique colors and materials.
Instead of spraying on contrasting colors and calling it two-tone, Bugatti relies here on naked polished aluminum and carbon fiber tinted, appropriately enough, royal blue. The blue stretches over the back half of the car, including the rear air intakes. The wheels, which Bugatti says the Grand Sport Roadster inspired, offer a two-tone Midnight Blue and Diamond Cut finish highlight. Not to be outdone, the interior wears Gaucho leather.
To date, Bugatti claims to have sold over 250 Bugatti Veyrons, with 215 delivered to customers. Around 20 Grand Sports have been spoken for.
