The Freestyle was presumed dead when sales described it as an utter failure. The very bland styling coupled with an underpowered engine and a fairly high price just didn't attract the customers.
Ford still has faith in the Freestyle and to let it live, they are adding the new corporate three-bar grille slowly finding itself on most new Ford vehicles. I am pretty sure the new Freestyle will be available with a Navigation system like its Five Hundred cousin and later, Microsoft and Ford's SYNC. The powertrain will be also switched to the 3.5L 260hp V6 engine that is in the new Five Hundred and Zephyr.
