The long-anticipated release of Hyundai's premium crossover, the Veracruz, debuted in Detroit. The Verzcruz is one level above the Santa Fe. The Veracruz has an estimated 3.8L 260hp engine though sources say it will reach the 270-280 fields. The Veracruz will be available with XM Satellite Radio and SmartKey though a Navigation option is not announced, but rumours say it will be available in the summer, when the Veracruz is released. The Veracruz certainly impresses me and it certainly did to those on the show floor. Bob Lutz was spotted stopping twice to see the Veracruz. He, like others, could not believe his eyes.
