Australian boss Martin Walsh has confirmed to GoAuto that Hummer is planning a new car that sits below the H3, most probably, but not definitively, called the H4 and should be available by 2010. A new GM compact platform is in the works, on which the new H4 will be sitting. Mr Walsh says: "It will be another GM platform that will allow us to build a smaller vehicle."
In addition to this, there are also a H3 SUT and a H3 Diesel in the planning for 2008. And possibly even a 2-door H3 with pick-up bed. Further down the line expect Hummer to go green with bio fuels and even more fuel efficient options.
