This came as a surprise to us when we got this via mail. A member of the Australian LS1 and Holden Forums snapped two shots of the Holden VE Commodore Wagon and the HSV Ute Maloo during a product presentation. There was no official word regarding Holden's development on the new wagon, but these shots confirm the speculations. The second shot shows us the upcoming HSV Ute Maloo. Both shots are the real deal.The VE Wagon will be powered by the same engines as its four-door sibling: a 3.6L 255hp V6 and a 6.0L 362hp V8 on the SS model. We have no word whether the wagon will be brought over to North America as a Pontiac G8 Wagon, but if it does, it will make a viable competitor to the Dodge Magnum. HSV, Holden's high-performance division, is prepping for the unveiling of the new HSV Ute Maloo. Based on the VE Ute, the Maloo packs a 6.0L 411hp LS2 V8 and adds an aggressive HSV bodykit.
Both models are speculated to debut at the upcoming Sydney International Motor Show in October. Continue reading to view an image of the HSV Maloo.
