Bitter building limo based on Holden Statesman

German automotive outfit Bitter Cars will be making a comeback with a new limousine based on the Holden-sourced Statesman (above), which it will showcase at this year’s Frankfurt International Auto Show. Bitter has a long history of building cars based on models from Opel, but this time looked elsewhere within the GM stable as Opel no longer has a decent large sedan.

The Statesman is powered by a 340hp 6.0L V8 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and this drivetrain is unlikely to be changed for the car being developed. Bitter is no stranger to modifying cars from Holden. In 2003 it displayed a car based on the Monaro coupe at the Geneva Motor Show labelled the CD2.

According to the Dutch site Autoweek.nl, the new Bitter limo will be going into limited production, with the first models scheduled to be delivered soon after the Frankfurt show.
