On the wave of recalls occurring in North America, Peugeot issued a recall on its most important car in Europe. A potential short circuit can be caused in the ABS/stability control mechanicals in the Peugeot 307. A defective seal that houses the ABS and the stability control can be infiltrated with water, which can result in these short circuits. The affected models were assembled between 2003 and 2006.
