Last March, the Geneva International Motor Show was host to Peugeot's 4th annual design competition. Out of over 4000 entries, the Flux was chosen. Penned by Mihai Panaitescu, the Flux, once a scaled clay model, was built to scale for unveiling at Frankfurt next month.
The task of the design competition was factored around the P.L.E.A.S.E. acronym which stood for pleasure, lightweight, efficiency, accessibility, simplicity and ecology. Peugeot decided Mr. Panaitescu's iteration met all the standards. The Flux Concept will also be included in the XBOX 360's Project Gotham Racing 4. PRESS RELEASE: PEUGEOT FLUX CONCEPT
After the Flux car design project was awarded winner of the 4th edition of Peugeot's Design Contest, the team at Peugeot's Style Center began creating a full scale model of the winning project, in close relationship with its author, Mihaï Panaîtescu.
In addition, the project is in the process of being crafted virtually for inclusion in "Project Gotham Racing 4," the racing game developed by Bizarre Creations exclusively for Microsoft®'s Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system.
The Flux project won after a selection period, which inspired the creation of 4,029 projects that came from 113 countries. The projects were posted on the website www.peugeotconcours-design.com between September and December 2006.
Beginning in March, the Flux project will be replicated to full scale and presented in Peugeot's booth for the next Frankfurt Auto show in September 2007. Starting in March is essential since it allows the teams in Peugeot's Style Center and Microsoft Game Studios to capture the project and have a design that is true to the author's vision and spirit, in terms of realistic handling and driving sensations.
"Project Gotham Racing 4" is an exclusive Xbox 360 title and will be the latest installment from Bizarre Creations' beloved racing franchise.
"We are excited to work with Peugeot in helping to visualize the future of Peugeot vehicle design. The Flux is a perfect fit for PGR4," said Martyn Chudley, Managing Director of Bizarre Creations. "We were impressed with the innovative and the extreme car designs submitted; We hope that Mihai Panaitescu will be excited when he sees The Flux faithfully created on the Xbox 360. We look forward to adding a lot of 'Gotham' to its chassis!"
From Designer Mihai Panitescu:
My intention was to design a vehicle that pleases it's occupants in every way. It's versatility combined with it's sportiness and the ability to use it in different environments are in my opinion some of the vehicle's strong points.
Either as an explorer of sandy beaches, sweeping mountain roads, or simply commuting in the city, the Flux concept embodies a vehicle that is made to please. It's dynamic shape and open air cockpit make it lively and fun to drive as the occupants are always in contact with their surroundings.
The name Flux was inspired by the continuous change and flow of our daily lives during work and play. The shape also represents this flow with transitions through hard and smooth lines, between straight and curved all of which are characteristics of Peugeot.
A relatively small car (3500cm long by 1650cm wide), it runs on a slim hydrogen power plant hidden in the back along with the tank mounted under the front bonnet. The hood and side body panels are made from plastic, polyurethane for the seats and aluminium for the mechanical parts.
The main components such as the chassis and head protection are metal. Made up of simple body work (basic intersected volumes) the car is easily produced and accessible to everyone but most of all, it's fun to drive.
Adding to this, the car is also a gaming hub thanks to the integrated Xbox 360 so P.L.E.A.S.E. hop in!!!
Wow, that's one heck of a long name. Porsche unveiled the limited-edition Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1. The car will be only available in black. Porsche Design, who regularly make Porsche-labeled watches, cell phones, and accessories, was responsible for adding the extra goodies onto the popular Cayman S. Power-wise, no modifications were added. But, Porsche "Design" added 911 Turbo wheels, black Alcantara leather trimmed interior, and Porsche logo trimmed seats. Every unit will also come with a Porsche Design briefcase containing a Flat Six Chronograph, pocket knife, a pair of sunglasses, a pen and a key ring, all colored in black to match the car.
Since this is a limited-production of an already limited-production vehicle, getting one for yourself will be difficult. Only 777 examples will be produced with sales in Europe to initiate in November of this year. North American models will arrive in January of next year. PRESS RELEASE: Limited-edition Cayman S as Porsche Design Edition 1
Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany, is to expand its mid-engine coupé model range with the launch, in November 2007, of the Cayman S “Porsche Design Edition 1”, a limited-edition special series. Porsche has incorporated various design disciplines into this very special mid-engine coupé: the black exterior emphasizes the purist nature of the 295-bhp sports car and, at the same time, is a nod to Porsche Design and the famous Chronograph 1s designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche precisely 35 years previously.
This look, cultivated by Porsche Design, imparts additional luxury and class on the Cayman S: the black leather and Alcantara upholstery harmonizes with refined details such as the instrument dials, the layout of which reflects that of all Porsche Design chronographs. Even the center console, dashboard, and door trims glisten in black, while the three-spoke sports steering wheel, the gear lever, the handbrake grip, and the roof lining are clothed in non-slip black Alcantara. The Porsche logo (crest) is embossed on the headrests.
The vehicle’s technical features are equally sophisticated: beneath the ten-millimeter-lower body, standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) actively controls the hardness of the shock absorbers and it features a special Sport mode that can be activated at the touch of a button for a really dynamic driving feel. Five-millimeter spacers together with 19-inch turbo wheels give the Cayman S “Porsche Design Edition 1” a presence that is reinforced yet further by the 235/35 ZR 19 tires at the front axle and the 265/35 ZR 19 tires at the rear.
The Porsche Design Studio, created by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche 35 years ago, has rapidly become a top international name for industrial design, luxury items, and consumer goods. Top-class functionality and esthetics glisten in the new “Porsche Design Edition 1” collection – in black or black matt, of course.
The Cayman S “Porsche Design Edition 1” standard equipment thus includes an elegant briefcase containing the Flat Six Chronograph, a pocket knife, a pair of sunglasses, a pen, and a key ring – all in black, even the knife blade, in keeping with the vehicle’s styling. The number of Cayman S “Porsche Design Edition 1” units is to be as exclusive as this series-production luxury package: only 777 are being built, and each will be identifiable from a badge on the lid of the glove box.
The market launch of this black Cayman with exclusive Porsche Design equipment, including briefcase, will begin in Germany in November 2007 and in the United States in January 2008. The base price is 58,600 Euros and, factoring in 19 percent value-added tax, the price in Germany will be 69,942 Euros.
Zagato is a famed Italian design firm known for some of its quirky modifications on conventional sports cars. Ferrari and Maserati are frequent customers and styling is love it or hate it. First shown in Geneva, Zagato's reincarnation of the Diatto marque resulted as the Diatto GT Ottovu. Zagato will put the Diatto into production with a mere 99 units.
The Diatto marque dates back to some 170 years. Known prominent as builders of fine horse-carriages, the Turin-based firm moved on to luxury train cars and later as one of the first automobile makers. The brand slowly vanished from the luxury car league during the pre-war era.
The Diatto GT Ottovu is based on an in-house steel frame with aluminum body. The front-engine vehicle is powered by Ford's 4.6L V8 with tune-ups by Roush and Cosworth, resulting in a staggering 530hp. Zagato claims the car can propel itself to 60 in the three-second area, which is stunning by the numbers itself.
99 examples mean it's just as difficult in getting your hands on one of these fine machineries. Specialist dealers will make way for the Diatto GT Ottovu in the States and Europe. Exact pricing wasn't disclosed, but people looking into these cars won't care. Continue reading to view more hi-res images.
One of the most controversial and brutal topics in automotive forums and throughout the Net is Hyundai's design philosophy. It seems that in most forums we approach, the words Hyundai and copy are in the same sentence. The word 'copy' is a very strong remark and it often indicates what some Chinese automakers have done and still are doing. In one case, the Chery QQ, a subcompact car in China, was so similar to the Daewoo Matiz, that its body parts actually fit onto the latter. We've heard of cases where Chery QQ consumers often go to a Daewoo dealership to have a hood replaced. The Daewoo was introduced in 1998, while the Chery was introduced in 2003. This case is a true example of an automaker illegally infringing other automaker's products for their own line-up.
We initiated this mini-investigation when we approached a comment regarding the Hyundai Genesis, stating it's a copy of the yet-to-be-released 2008 Honda Accord Sedan. We think that is a tad over the line. Prototypes of the Hyundai Genesis have been spotted since 2005, whilst the Accord was only spotted undisguised a week ago. Why is the Genesis a copy? Apparently, it's the C-pillar kink that defines the Genesis as a copy of the Accord. The Hoffmeister kink was a design cue started by BMW. Since then, it has spread to many vehicles, including the Holden VE Commodore and the Nissan Altima. So why is the Genesis the culprit here when the two previously stated vehicles were out in showrooms much before? The speed of improvement of Hyundai has made us have a second look at their cars and specifically their designs.
Now, every taillight speck that looks similar to another car, regardless of when they were shown, makes the Hyundai a culprit and we have gotten used to belittling the automaker. The Veracruz, Hyundai's latest vehicle in the line-up and the automaker's most expensive vehicle, has been negated frequently because of a similar rear-end and a "blatant" copy of the Lexus RX350 in the interior. Continue reading to see what we have resulted. We did not mention which one is the Lexus and Hyundai. Why? We know you can identify which ones they are right off the bat, the first indication that cites the Hyundai is not a copy of the Lexus. The rear glass shape is different. The taillights of the Veracruz are conventional and are separate from the glass, while the Lexus's is clear and its crease follows the rear glass shape. The license plate holder and the rear bumper we won't even get to because they are total different shapes. We can complain that the Outlander's rear is similar to the Lexus. But, we won't get to it either and so hasn't the automotive enthusiasts that nitpick Hyundai's designs. We aren't implying that the Outlander is a copy, nor the Veracruz. We are just stating that Hyundai is merely influencing its designs like Mitsubishi, Toyota (Camry's Bangle bum), Nissan (Altima's Hoffmeister kink), Pontiac (G8's Hoffmeister kink), Honda (Civic Sedan's Audi-ish taillights), and more. We also aren't stating that they have 'copied' others too. In fact, they're influencing their designs from other automakers just as much as Hyundai is. And, frankly, that is not a crime nor they should be targeted with remarks defacing the automaker.
Just remember, when you take a stroll in the city, you'll always find similarities between a car and another one. It's not always a Hyundai.
The stunning Maybach Exelero Concept made its debut in 2005 and got many fans thinking (and pleading) of whether it would make it into production. The Exelero Concept has been noted as one of the world's most iconic designs in automotive history. The Exelero Concept was also featured in a Jay-Z rap music video. One thing, we didn't get to see was the Exelero actually driving, or in high-speed for that matter. In the video, the Exelero tops out an astounding 351km/h. Anyways, here's the real deal from Motor Authority, showcasing the Exelero preparing for high-speed runs at Italy's Nardo track.
Based off Maserati's GranSport Spyder, the GS Zagato is swathed in all-new aluminum body panels and adorned with a "Z" on the fenders and the automaker's trident in the grille. The hatchback design may be off-putting at first glance (all we had before were these shots), but once viewed as a whole, the smooth lines and gentle contours make the GS a subdued, yet powerful coupe.
Inspired by the 1954 Maserati A6 G Zagato, the world-renowned designer, Paolo Boffi, has created a fitting successor to the iconic automobile in the form of the GS Zagato Coupe.
Speaking of power, the 400 HP V8 has remained, along with the six-speed semi-automatic gearbox. According to Zagato, torsional rigidity has been increased, while the wheelbase has been shortened by 180mm to make it as competent in the corners as it is on the concourse.
Zagato has been very busy as of late. At the Geneva Motor Show in March it debuted two models, the Diatto Ottovu and the Spyker C12 Zagato. Today the company revealed that it's now collaborating with Maserati to produce the Maserati GS Zagato. The GS is a one-off commisioned by Paolo Boffi, a furnishings and luxury designer who apparently doesn't like to buy his cars off the shelf. It's inspired by the Maserati A6 G Zagato, although only pics of the rear have been released, so we'll have to take their word on that for now.

Continued- Article, more images, official press release Based on the Maserati GranSport Spyder, the GS Zagato is two-seat touring hatch skinned with an all-aluminum body. Not much else is known about the car, so we can only assume it uses the same mechanicals as the Spyder, which means a 4.2L V8 producing 400 horsepower. Zagato loves to play dress up with other company's cars, and the GS Zagato is no different. It will make its official debut at the Concours d'Elegance Village d'Este in Itally next weekend.
PRESS RELEASE:
Zagato Villa d'Este 2007
One year after the presentation of the Ferrari 575GTZ, Zagato returns to Villa d'Este with a world preview for fans of Italian sports sedans: the Maserati GS Zagato.
In the most classic traditions of exclusive collections that inspired the creativity of car designers in the '50s and '60s, Paolo Boffi, well-known entrepreneur in the furnishing and luxury design sector, has commissioned from Zagato a customised look for his Maserati GS Spyder.
Zagato proposes a line that evoked the historical Maserati A6 G Zagato of 1954: one of the most beautiful Italian sedans ever built, and nowadays at the top of every collector's wish list.
The Maserati GS Zagato, like its celebrated ancestor, has all-aluminium bodywork and bears the Trident on the bonnet and the Z on the wing, expressing eternal Italian excellence in its shape and its content. A winning combination that matches powerful and reliable mechanics, with an elegant and and sports style, both rigorously Made in Italy.
For purists of the compact coupé, afficionados of the Milano-based brand, it is a two-volume, two-seater, hatchback with a streamlined profile and a neat tail. The wheelbase is 180mm shorter, a spin-off from the Spyder, provides excellent handling and stability on curves, with extraordinary torsional rigidity.
In homage to the tradition of the gentlemen drivers who asked Zagato to transform the bodywork of their cars, modern collectors choose mechanics at the top level of technical evolution and 'dress' them in tailor-made garments that increase in value as time passes.
This is the mission of a modern automobile atelier: to create timeless objects that celebrate prestigious models and brands and which, unlike mass produced vehicles, are destined to last for ever.
Zagato, born in 1919 as an atelier for automobiles and planes, has put its signature on all the most important mechanics of the last century, earning the opportunity to create, every time, an "instant classic".
Zagato's strengths lie in the concept of sports-style elegance, a functional design that does not bow to momentary fashions but seeks out the excitement and pleasure of driving, and in the precious aluminium bodywork, a value recognised everywhere. The Maserati GS Zagato will be on show at the Concours d'Elegance Villa d'Este, to be held in Cernobbio (Italy) 20 -22 April 2007.
24. No, that's not Kiefer Sutherlands favorite number, it's the number of units Spyker will build of this ultra limited-edition C12 Zagato. Designed in conjunction with the famed Zagato styling house that brought us such cars as the old Aston Martin DB4 Zagato and the newer Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Zagato Coupe, the C12 Zagato was designed in the wake of Spyker of acquiring the Midland Formula 1 team and therefore incorporates some F1 design cues into long and highly ornate body.
Based on Spyker's flagship C12 model, the Zagato version uses a 6.0L W12 engine sourced from the only company in the world who makes those engines – Volkswagen. Here it produces 500bhp (a supercharger can be added that bumps power to 650bhp) and will launch the relatively lightweight (3,086 lbs.) C12 Zagato to 60 mph in a short 3.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 193 mph.
From all reports, Spyker's handle about as well as a 1989 Chevy Silverado (we've never driven one ourselves, and probably won't now), so we know that people buy them for the rolling art they are. The C12 Zagato is no exception and manages to combine the familiar aeronautical cues for which Spyker is known (check out the propeller blade wheels) with an F1-inspired nose that we hope is functional to some degree. Is it pretty to look at? We'll let you be the judge, but it is very rare and at €495,000 ($648,000 USD), very expensive.

PRESS RELEASE:
SPYKER C12 ZAGATO UNVEILED AT 77 GENEVA INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW
Geneva, Switzerland, 6 March 2007 – Victor Muller, CEO of Spyker Cars, and Andrea Zagato, CEO of Zagato, today unveiled the Spyker C12 Zagato at the 77th Geneva International Motor Show. Norihiko Harada, Zagato's Automotive Chief Designer, and Muller co-operated closely to design this limited edition of 24 sports cars to be delivered from March 2008 onwards. The world première of this ultra-exclusive version of the C12 range celebrates Spyker's entry into the world of Formula One and marks the first integration of design elements and styling cues from the Spyker F8-VII Formula One car into the Spyker road car range. This point was underlined by the unveiling of the car being performed by Spyker's Formula One race driver, Adrian Sutil.
Partnership Spyker and Zagato
Victor Muller comments:
At the age of 18 I acquired my first Zagato bodied car: a Lancia Flavia Zagato rally car in dire need of restoration. Ever since that date, some 30 years ago, I have been in love with the unique and distinctive designs penned by this noble design house. Many Zagato bodied cars have followed the Lancia Flavia and I am proud to still have a number of Zagatos in my collection.
The co-operation and partnership between Spyker and Zagato is entirely logical if one looks at the rich heritage both companies share in the fields of aviation and racing. A better fit of aesthetics, skill and passion would be hard to find.
Two brothers, Jacobus and Hendrik-Jan Spijker, coach builders in Amsterdam, built their first Benz- engined motor car in 1898 and won immediate acclaim for the supreme craftsmanship of their bodywork. In the period prior to World War I, a worldwide slump in the luxury car market meant that Spyker had to diversify its production, and so it merged with the Dutch Aircraft Factory N.V. This combined company evolved its business model and started developing and building aircraft. After the war Spyker was able to return to its roots and resumed car production in 1919. True to its motto 'Nulla tenaci invia est via' ('For the tenacious no road is impassable'), Spyker continued building record-breaking cars which now featured extensive aircraft influences, including sophisticated aerodynamics absorbed from the aircraft building years.
Similarly, Zagato was established at the end of World War I by Ugo Zagato, putting aircraft industry construction techniques to use in the expanding market for passenger vehicles. Just like the Spyker cars, Zagato's cars were advanced in design and became synonymous with light weight and excellent aerodynamics.
Spyker C12 Zagato: the rationale
Victor Muller continues: "Andrea and myself have known each other for many years and met at events such as Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and Villa d'Este Concorso d'Eleganza on numerous occasions. Last April, at Villa d'Este, we sat down and discussed the increasing market demand for truly one-off and limited edition super sport cars. In a certain sense the modern market is not unlike the 1930's, where wealthy customers would order exotic bespoke designs from high-end coach builders on Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Delage, Delahaye and Isotta-Fraschini chassis, just to mention a few."
Zagato established its name by designing exquisite cars for Lancia, Alfa Romeo and Ferrari in particular, but it is probably the Aston Martin DB4 Zagato that best represents the artistic expertise of what they do. Andrea and I agreed to meet each other in Arese and to define what a Spyker Zagato would have to embody. In view of market demand, it was decided to use Spyker's flagship chassis, the C12, as a basis -its space-frame being exceptionally suitable for crafting a bespoke body onto."
After the initial design meeting in July 2006, it became apparent that Spyker would succeed in acquiring the Midland Formula 1 team and design activities were suspended until early October when that transaction had been consummated. "With the F1 team part of the Spyker Group it was decided that the C12 Zagato should embody as many of the Formula 1 design cues as practically possible so as to set a new design vision for future Spyker road car models."
In the months following, Spyker and Zagato finalized the design and the manufacturing of the C12 Zagato was entrusted to Spyker's long time fabrication partner, Coventry Prototype Panels in Coventry, UK. Under the guidance of Brendan O'Toole, CPP's Managing Director, and Étienne Beijersbergen van Henegouwen, Spyker's Project Manager, the vehicle was built by a dedicated Spyker and CPP crew from aluminium in an amazing 4 weeks.
Spyker C12 Zagato: the vehicle
The Spyker C12 Zagato is an all aluminium rear wheel drive sports car, based on the Spyker C12 Spyder. The C12 is powered by the 6.0 liter, 12 cylinder, 500 bph W12 engine from Volkswagen AG and accelerates from 0-100 km (0-60 mph) in 3.8 seconds. The Spyker C12 Zagato is equipped with a six-speed manual or automatic gear box with F1 style shifting, Chronoswissinstruments and a Zagato designed full leather interior with brushed aluminium instrument panel. The C12 Zagato has an aluminium body with stainless steel roof rails and has many F1 derived design details such as an F1 nose, air scoop, chimneys, mirrors, rain light, fuel flap and diffuser. It has a panoramic roof that features the Double Bubble, a typical Zagato style element. The Spyker C12 Zagato has a length of 4.5 m, a width of 2.02 m excluding mirrors, a height of 1.25 m and weighs 1480 kg. The fuel tank capacity is 70 litres (15.4 gallons). Top speed is 310 km/h (193 mph).
"The Spyker and Zagato Atelier brands perfectly align because of their common aeronautical origins and because of the shared passion of Victor Muller and myself for sports cars" states Andrea Zagato. "Nevertheless Victor, before starting this extraordinary adventure with Spyker, was a Zagato collector owning cars like the Flaminia SS and TZ. Together with our neo-classical approach, this Spyker C12 Zagato shows the capabilities of Zagato Atelier for innovative and non conventional solutions."
Norihiko Harada, designer of the new Spyker C12 Zagato, adds: "All Spyker cars have their own very unique style: the aeronautical retrospective style co-exists with craftsmanship and elegance. The new Zagato body becomes even more unique, aggressive and sensual at the same time. It features a new double bubble panoramic roof , F1 influenced nose and air intakes, chimney and a "coda tronca", the typical Zagato cut off tail end.
Maintaining Spyker's styling philosophy, Zagato design put all these elements together and created an extremely stimulating example of contemporary exotic high performance sports car by using typical modern Zagato lines which started from the Raptor Zagato in 1996."
The Spyker C12 Zagato will retail for EUR 495,000 (excluding any taxes, ex factory).
Giugiaro will be showcasing its own Vadhò hydrogen concept car at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, the design house’s first attempt at an all-green vehicle. Built off a unique platform, the Vadhò is powered by the same hydrogen fueled 6.0L V12 as used by BMW’s Hydrogen 7 mated to a semi-sequential automatic transmission.
The purpose of the new concept car, as Giugiaro puts it, is to “’spur discussion” and showcase design trends for future vehicles powered by alternative fuels. Besides the clean powerplant, the Vadhò features a jet fighter-style tandem two-seater configuration, with dual controller joysticks and electronic drive by-wire technology.
The Vadhò will be joined by another Giugiaro-designed concept car developed with Daihatsu. Labeled the D-Compact X-Over, the new concept is a preview of a new production model designed as a European B-segment car.
Giugiaro will be showcasing its own Vadhò hydrogen concept car at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, the design house’s first attempt at an all-green vehicle. Built of a unique platform, the Vadhò is powered by a hydrogen fuelled powerplant located next to the rear seat, which itself is located in tandem directly behind the driver’s.
Forgoing a traditional steering wheel, the Vadhò picks up two joystick controllers that can be positioned in either left- or right-hand drive configurations thanks to electronic by-wire technology. The designers have also used the concept car to feature Italdesign-Giugiaro’s brand new logo, placing a large red G on the hood of the car. We should have more information on this concept closer to its unveiling in Geneva.
Stay tuned for real-life images and more information when it becomes available.
The Diatto Ottovu Zagato will be unveiled at the Geneva auto show in just a few weeks, powered by an anticipated supercharged V8 sourced from Maserati.
Diatto is one of those brands that history forgot, a century-old Italian carmaker that shut down in 1929. The company was founded in 1905, and on the occasion of its 100th anniversary, albeit two years late, two (evidently well-heeled) collectors commissioned Zagato to build them something special – an undertaking not unlike the Ferrari 575 GTZ, or the niche to which the overlords at Porsche would like to relegate Bugatti.
Like the previous 575 project, which recalled the iconic 250 GTZ, the Diatto Ottovu Zagato was realized to recall the coachbuilt motor-carriages Zagato re-bodied for Diatto some 85 years ago.

Diatto by Zagato - Ottovù Project
The Geneva motor show goes on - the by now classic tradition of passionate clients of exclusive car manufacturers, which has always stimulated the creativity of the Italian vehicle body makers and enhanced international motor shows.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Diatto brand, two keen collectors turned to Zagato with the aspiration of resurrecting past collaboration. Way back in 1921, Ugo Zagato designed a lightweight and aerodynamic body for the Diatto 25 4DS chassis.
In 2007, the Milanese Atelier with its typically rationalist approach to a project, revamps, with a sporty note, the artistry of one of the most historical brands of the Italian automotive industry: Diatto.
Created in 1835 with a Perfected Wheel patent, Diatto made their first car in 1905 and often crossed paths with Zagato in their close collaboration with Ettore Bugatti, the Maserati brothers and Tazio Nuvolari.
