Audi has announced its net profit numbers for the first half of 2007 and it's on the positive note with $679 million euros ($926.9 million dollars), a growth of 67 percent. The recent splurge of new models from the four-ring automaker gives a promising outlook for the second half of this year. Price Attack Pt.III: Saab announces 2008 9-3 pricing, starting at $28,385
The Swedish lad in the General family has announced the official US pricing of the facelifted 2008 9-3. Starting at $28,385 for the base 2.0T Sedan, it marks a considerable $2135 boost from the $26,250 tag of the 2007 model. The 2008 model heralds new changes made extensively to the exterior, while interior changes are minimal to the best. Spanning the Aero-X Concept cue, the front fascia departs from the clean design of the 2007, but its new sleek design does its job nicely.
Some highlights of the minor changes elsewhere include side sills, new alloy wheel designs, standard OnStar, XM, rain-sensing wipers and a tire-pressure monitor. Saab also announced the pricing of the 2008 SportCombi and the Convertible. Standing $29,630 and $39,710 respectively, the less popular variants of the 9-3 range are also plagued with the price boost syndrome.

Recall: Volvo calls back 42,000 XC90s
Volvo has announced that they have issued a recall affecting 42,000 of their flagship sport-utility vehicle, the XC90. The culprit being a faulty battery switch, only the North American models are affected. The switch is prone to create short circuits if the jack handle comes in contact with it. Note that only the MY2005 models are affected.
No reports of the short circuits actually happening were brought in so far. The short circuiting was likely to happen by Volvo technicians themselves, as the instructions for the regular maintenance checks of the MY2005 XC90s affected involved the tampering of the faulty parts.
Volvo dealers will check the affected cars and implement a sticker on each car, instructing future service technicians on how to avoid the short circuits.

LEAKED! Pt.2: Kia HM interior images revealed
The leaks are becoming a regular pastimes for automotive journalists like us. Following the official teaser images of the HM which revealed the headlight, grille, and wheels, we've obtained the first official images of the interior in hand. Verdict: We are mighty impressed.
First look at the center stack tells us Kia has upped its league. They do have a slight scent of the 2007 Honda CR-V, but the quality seems to be spotless. The multimedia navigation/AV system that is shown is likely to stay in South Korea, but expect a navigation system similar to the LG version found in the Veracruz for the American folks. The A/C design is stunning, and it is a massive departure from Kia's previous designs. The whole interior is highlighted in wood, but the color looks appealing like an Ikea bedroom set. Kia has put in mind the techy folks like us with an AUX input jack and a Push-Start button. Bear in mind the Veracruz is not button-operated.
The flood of images indicate a public debut is awaiting closer than speculations. We can tell you it's not slated for Frankfurt as these images show a Korean-market HM. No major Korean autoshows are scheduled for this year, so this means a debut party handled by Kia. Look for the HM to debut before the year and go on sale early next year. Sales of the North American HM is slated to begin around that time as well. Continue reading to view the three magic shots you've patiently waited for.

LEAKED!: MINI Clubman revealed before Sunday embargo
The folks over at Inside Line have some explaining to do with this. Albeit taking into the fact that the Clubman has been spotted virtually undisguised long before today, the official images are up and we're 50/50 now. Along with the three images came some notable specs.
The Clubman sits on a stretched Cooper platform. The Clubman's most noticing feature is the passenger-side suicide-style door. Smelling distinctively of the Saturn SC, the unique doors aid in entering and exiting from the rear seats. At the rear, a suicide-style hatch replaces the conventional liftback. The standard powertrain is a 1.6L four producing 120hp. The 'S' variant receives a turbocharged 1.6L producing 175hp. Diesel can be opted in Europe with a 1.6L common-rail diesel producing 110hp.
Embargo is slated to clear on Sunday to our knowledge. Once it lifts, we'll bring you the official pics and specs. Continue reading to view the other two images.
UPDATE: We're scratching our heads on why the rear shot of the Clubman shows 'Cooper S'. We'll try and find out, but we're thinking MINI might name this the 'Cooper S Clubman'. It's most likely wrong, but we can say we gave it a shot, right?
UPDATE 2: Folks, Inside Line has posted a load of official pics of the Cooper S Clubman. However, the embargo does not lift until Sunday, so we'll have to leave you guys with these three images. It also looks like AutoWeek was the first publication to release the images via their latest issue.

Diatto GT Ottovu by Zagato put into limited production
Zagato is a famed Italian design firm known for some of its quirky modifications on conventional sports cars. Ferrari and Maserati are frequent customers and styling is love it or hate it. First shown in Geneva, Zagato's reincarnation of the Diatto marque resulted as the Diatto GT Ottovu. Zagato will put the Diatto into production with a mere 99 units.
The Diatto marque dates back to some 170 years. Known prominent as builders of fine horse-carriages, the Turin-based firm moved on to luxury train cars and later as one of the first automobile makers. The brand slowly vanished from the luxury car league during the pre-war era.
The Diatto GT Ottovu is based on an in-house steel frame with aluminum body. The front-engine vehicle is powered by Ford's 4.6L V8 with tune-ups by Roush and Cosworth, resulting in a staggering 530hp. Zagato claims the car can propel itself to 60 in the three-second area, which is stunning by the numbers itself.
99 examples mean it's just as difficult in getting your hands on one of these fine machineries. Specialist dealers will make way for the Diatto GT Ottovu in the States and Europe. Exact pricing wasn't disclosed, but people looking into these cars won't care. Continue reading to view more hi-res images.

Da Bomb: Fiat 500 sells out in 3 weeks, extra production demanded
Fiat's 500 should be titled the most successful car launch of the year for 2007. After being on sale for only 3 weeks, the cute little bug has blew off Fiat's sales projections. Fiat planned to build 58,000 units of the 500 for this year with annual build capacities planned for 120,000. Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne prompted a boost to the annual build capacity to 140,000 after the mind-blowing success.
Being in showrooms for a mere 3 weeks, the 500's done for the whole year. "As of yesterday, we had received 57,000 dealer orders for the 500, of which 51,000 are from Italy and 6,000 are from France,” stated Marchionne.
Fiat has already initiated in expanding its Tychy plant in Poland to accommodate the extra units rolling off production. Ford is prepping for launch of their next Ka supermini, due to go on sale next fall. The Ka is built alongside the 500 and the Fiat Panda in Poland. By next year, the Tychy plant will be capable of assembling 140,000 Fiat 500s, 240,000 Fiat Pandas and 120,000 Ford Kas. All we can do is hope that Marchionne sees the dear enthusiasm the 500 has garnered in North America. Everyone can dream, can't they?

Frankfurt: Kia reveals first official image of Pro-cee'd
Last year, Kia pulled the wraps off the pro_cee'd Concept in Paris. The concept previewed the three-door iteration of the popular cee'd range. It gained copious amount of praises in the media and garnered lots of attention for the Korean automaker. The Pro-Cee'd joins the line-up consisting of the 5-door hatchback and the estate. A fourth model was planned to join the family. The ex_cee'd Concept, unveiled in Geneva, was Schreyer's first shot in Kia and the proposed cabrio variant. Kia later axed the plans for a production version.
The Pro-Cee'd shares its look heavily from the 5-door hatch. However, the 3-door hot hatch is longer, lower and wider in every dimension than its conventional sibling, meaning the similarities are only visual. The concept to production transition took away some of the juice, but it's agreeably one of Kia's best. Powertrain options will be consistent with the 5-door, offering a 1.4L and 1.6L petrol, as well as a 1.6L diesel.
Other than a brief press release and the lone image above, Kia hasn't revealed any details of the newest lad in the Cee'd range. We're eager to see how the rear shaped up. Production is slated to initiate in November of this year, with sales "pro_cee'ding" in early 2008. Bear in mind that the Cee'd range is only available in Europe and Australia. So, that's the Ford Kuga, Fiat 500, and now the Kia Cee'd...all this week in our massive European wishlist. Continue reading to view the official press release.

PRESS RELEASE: KIA cee'd THREE-DOOR REVEALED
Kia Motors Corporation has released the first preview image of its exciting new Kia three-door hatchback model which will make its World Premiere at this year's Frankfurt International Motor Show on 11 September. The new model will be named Pro-cee'd.
Based closely on the earlier 'pro_cee'd' concept shown at the Paris Motor Show in 2006, the new production model has been developed by Kia's design team in Europe under the direction of Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer.
"Longer, lower and lighter than its five-door sister car, the new Kia Pro-cee'd is going to be a great drive," enthused Mr Jean-Charles Lievens, Senior Vice President Kia Motors Europe. "Combining real style and genuine practicality, our new three-door cee'd is sure to delight existing Kia customers and attract a new group of European consumers who have not yet considered our brand."
Manufactured in Slovakia, Pro-cee'd will be the third member of the Kia cee'd family, joining the popular cee'd five-door and the soon to be released cee'd SW models to make Kia an especially strong challenger for C-segment sales in Europe.
Production of the Pro-cee'd model range is scheduled to begin in November with first customer sales during the early months of 2008.

Price Attack Pt.II: Cadillac spills the beans on 2008 CTS official pricing
You gotta hand it to those who legally acquire information as important as this and post it up. A member over at Cheers and Gears, the forum that brought us shots of the Dodge Challenger and a little tale along with it, posted up the official pricing for Cadillac's 3-Series fighter, the CTS.
Scanning through the price list, the standard CTS with the 263hp 3.6L VVT V6 and a manual transmission will start at $32,245. Upgrade to the automatic on the base model for $1300 more. If you want auto standard, step up to the 304hp 3.6L VVT DI V6 for $34,995, which is not really a big premium to pay for a 300hp RWD sedan. Want to add a manual tranny onto your near-perfect family-friendly sports car? It'll set you back $1300 too. An AWD option, available on both trims, is a $1900 premium.
Not perfect enough? Cadillac will offer a wide array of packages including the Luxury Collection ($2600), Premium Luxury Collection with a hefty $8165, Performance Collection ($3300), Luxury Level One ($1000) or the Luxury Level Two with $2025. Jeez, two levels for one package? Continue reading to view the full packages list.
Don't forget the destination fees, taxes, etc. because remember, TheCarBlogger told ya so.
UPDATE: Very good news! It looks like our misunderstanding proved to exist here with the pricing we posted of the new CTS. The CTS equipped with the 3.6L VVT DI V6 powering 304hp, can be opted with the manual for a REDUCTION of $1300 from the standard price. So there, your dream family-friendly sports sedan has come cheaper than stated. Thanks 69Firebird400 for the heads-up. Start saving up!

Official: Next Honda Fit/Jazz to bow in Tokyo this October
Following the heels of Honda's popular subcompact car hitting the 2 million sales milestone, the next-generation Fit was recently confirmed to debut in Tokyo this October. In his regular mid-term speech of what's going on at Honda, Takeo Fukui (CEO of Honda) confirmed the arrival of the next iteration of the aging Fit. The current Fit, sold as the Jazz in the European market, was introduced in 2001 and continues to generate strong sales to this date. The Fit was launched in America and Canada last April and Honda deems it a success.
We have no clue as to what Honda has come up with for the next Fit, but reports say the guy in charge of the design department is Toshiyuki Okumoto. Translation? The lad who brought us (or rather the Europeans) the current Euro Civic Hatch, which looks to be ahead of its time. The new Fit will arrive in North American showrooms by summer of 2008.

Frankfurt: Ferrari unveils 430 Scuderia, successes 360 Challenge Stradale
The successor of the famed 360 Challenge Stradale (which happens to be the piece de resistance on our banner) looks to have done its job right. We've seen spy pics of prototypes running around the Nurburgring since wizard fans were (and still are) on their knees waiting for the seventh Harry Potter book to come out. This is our Deathly Hallows and the waiting has paid off. The Scuderia joins the Coupe and the Spyder in the F430 line-up. The newbie is the more track-oriented variant of the trio. Its engine is modified to churn out 27 more horsepowers than the conventional F430, to an impressive 510hp. The Scuderia weighs 220lbs less than the F430 and therefore, the horsepower to weight ratio is a mind-blowing 1hp per 5.4lbs.
Some other exclusives for the Scuderia include an integrated traction control and stability control. The icing on the cake is that the Scuderia will be unveiled in Frankfurt by none other than the Prancing Horse legend, Michael Schumacher. PRESS RELEASE: The Ferrari 430 Scuderia. Michael Schumacher will officially unveil the car at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The new Ferrari 430 Scuderia will join the road-going V8 line-up alongside the F430 coupé and the F430 Spider. The 430 Scuderia is a truly high-performance 2-seater berlinetta which demonstrates how Ferrari's Formula 1 know-how is carried across to its production cars.
The new model is a special series based on the F430 and is aimed specifically at Ferrari's most passionate and sports-driving oriented clients. Development focused on light weight, minimum trimmings and innovative technology. All this to exalt the car's extremely high-performance and ability to thrill the driver.
The new car can count on an extremely low weight-to-power ratio of just 2.45 kg per hp thanks to a low dry weight of just 1250 kg - 100 kg less than the standard F430 – and to the naturally-aspirated 4308cc V8's 510 hp at 8500 rpm.
Superb performance both on and off the track is assured by a series of cutting-edge solutions. There is the latest F1 software - Superfast – which reduces gearchange times to just 60 milliseconds, and new traction control which, for the first time, combines the E-Diff electronic differential and the F1-Trac traction and stability control in a single integrated system.
Vehicle dynamics, control and performance thus represent the zenith of Ferrari's achievements in terms of developing road-certified sports cars.
The 430 Scuderia will be officially unveiled by Michael Schumacher on September 11 2007 at the IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt.

2008 Ford Kuga crossover (Iosis-X) to debut in Frankfurt, sketch released
This one is added to our huge list of European Fords that we want, but we don't get. I think we have enough to start a petition. Ford unveiled the Iosis-X Concept in Paris last fall, which was a preview of Ford's future crossover for the European folks. The Frankfurt Autoshow is right near our door and Ford released some teaser information along with an attractive sketch of the vehicle.
Named the 'Kuga', the crossover will sit on Ford's C1 platform, which also underpins the Ford Focus, Mazda3, Volvo S40, and the Land Rover LR2. The Kuga is Ford's attempt to combat the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and the Nissan Qashqai. The name, which distinctly sounds like a British pronounciation of Mercury's Cougar, clears any speculations made like the X-MAX. The design, which derives from the Iosis-X Concept, seems to have stayed intact in the concept to production transition.
The Kuga is slated to go on sale across Europe in early 2008. Folks in North America will have to deal with the Escape for quite a bit more, which still runs on rear drum brakes by the way. Continue reading to view the official tidbits from Ford. Mind you, it's German (we think Google needs to tweak the translator a bit more).

Offroad-Fähigkeiten", erläutert Ford of Europe Executive Design
offiziellen Bild kommunizieren", kommentiert Smith.

Kia preps for Frankfurt debut of Schreyer-designed Coupe Concept
No, that is not the official name. Kia released a preliminary press release of their anticipated two-door coupe concept. Along with that came an official teaser image and we can sum up that this will be one heck of a car. Back in March, we posted an article of Kia's Audi TT-rival's upcoming debut in Frankfurt. The project 'Snowflake' sounds redundantly similar to the project code name for the Audi TT, 'Raindrop', when it was in developmental stages. But wait, Peter Schreyer, the head-designer of Kia in Europe and the head of project 'Snowflake', has an impressive design portfolio with one example being the MKI Audi TT. Schreyer has been responsible for the designs of some iconic vehicles such as the TT and VW's New Beetle.
As mentioned above, the official name of the vehicle is still under the walls of Kia. The mystery coupe concept will be unveiled in Frankfurt on September 11th, 2007. Schreyer stated that the coupe will "surprise the entire automotive world when people can see the new sports coupe concept in the metal." Continue reading to view the official press text.

PRESS RELEASE: Kia To Reveal Sports Coupe Concept Car At Frankfurt Show
-Kia chief designer Peter Schreyer reveals 'preview image'
-All-new sports coupe concept to make world premiere on 11 September
Kia Motors Corporation has confirmed that the company's all-new sports coupe concept car will make its world premiere at this year's Frankfurt International Motor Show on 11 September.
The new concept car, whose name remains secret at present, is a 2+2 coupe with an imposing road presence.
It was conceived by Kia's design team in Europe under the guidance of Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer, and manufactured in Europe.
Revealing the first 'preview image' of the new car, Schreyer enthused, "Kia has given me the opportunity to shape its whole brand design and character. Seldom does a designer have such a clean sheet with which to work.
"We started this exciting journey with the Kia ex_cee'd cabrio concept at the Geneva Show back in March, and at Frankfurt I'm sure Kia will surprise the entire automotive world when people see our new sports coupe concept in the metal."
Schreyer was recently awarded an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of his contribution to automotive design by the Royal College of Art (RCA), the UK's pre-eminent school of art and design.
The 53-year old Bavarian studied transportation design at the RCA in 1979/80 and worked at Audi and Volkswagen for the next 25 years, producing designs for vehicles such as the Audi TT and the new VW Beetle.
Schreyer was appointed to his newly created role of Chief Design Officer at Kia Motors in September 2006.

Milestone: Honda reaches the big 2,000,000 in global Fit/Jazz sales
The Fit, introduced in 2001, was Honda's attempt in the hot subcompact segment in Japan. At that time, the Fit was portrayed as near-revolutionary with its Magic Seats and modern design. Maybe that is why Honda thought the 5 year old design would face no problems when the Fit was scheduled to go on sale in April of 2006 for us folks. Surprisingly enough, the Fit exceeded demand and since its launch, more than 77,000 Fits were sold in the US. Last week, we rambled about the dealer shortages expected for Fits in the US.
The domestic Fit accounts for nearly half of the milestone, 962,000 to be exact. In Europe, where it's called the Jazz, places second with a staggering 419,000. The Fit is sold in more than 100 countries around the sphere. The vehicle is known as the Fit in Japan, China and both North and South America. The regions where the car is known as the Jazz (apparently, 'fit' resembles 'fitta' which is a slang for the female what-what in Norwegian and Swedish) include Europe, some parts of Asia, Australia, Ocenia, Middle East and Africa.

Spied: 2008 Chevrolet Aveo5 caught, interior shot
The Chevrolet Aveo, a rebadged GM Daewoo Kalos, was The General's answer to the rising popularity of the subcompact cars in North America. The Aveo Sedan and Hatchback were unveiled in 2004 and sales were going strong. The cars offered sub-par fuel economy and poor driving, but offered the features for a relatively cheap price and that was enough to win over the hands of many Americans. By 2006, the Aveo was lagging behind its competitors and made the move of redesigning the vehicle, only 2 years after the predecessor was shown. While the sedan received the new design, the more popular hatchback model stayed as is and continued on for 2007.
In an amusement park lot in South Korea, the photographer spotted the updated Aveo5 and managed to snap three pics. We think the black camo and the distictive yellow paint was enough to grab his attention. The front will receive the signature Chevy grille similar to the Malibu, while the rear will receive new taillights. The interior will be lifted from the current Aveo Sedan, but that's what we wanted and that's what we'll get. Something that caught our attention was the existence of side fender vents. On a sub-$18K car? They're likely non-functional, but GM seems to know fender vents are the new black these days.
The Aveo and the Aveo5 are both assembled in GM Daewoo's Bupyong plant in South Korea. Sales speculations have been pushed further to the fourth-quarter of 2007 or even next spring. Continue reading to view two more images.

Confirmed: Updated Mercedes-Benz C Sportcoupe to be named CLC
The compact hatchback variant of the C-Class by Mercedes-Benz has long been on hiatus in North America since 2005. The three-door hatchback was Merc's answer to the BMW Compact. The C Sportcoupe was unveiled in 2000 alongside its estate counterpart. Sales were slow since its debut, especially in North America, and it forced the German automaker to resort to scrap. However, the upper-management folks changed the plans at the last minute and decided to keep the Sportcoupe.
Mercedes-Benz has confirmed the release of an updated C Sportcoupe after a 3 year hiatus. It will still sit on the old W203 platform, but feature an updated front fascia resembling the new W204 C-Class. It will be unveiled at the IAA (Frankfurt), which is around two months from now.
Auto Motor und Sport reports that Mercedes-Benz has announced a change in name for the updated C Sportcoupe. The CLC, the newly announced name, will go on sale in Europe in April of 2008. It is highly unlikely the CLC will cross the Atlantic.

Spied: 2009 Hyundai Tiburon (BK)
Information on Hyundai's anticipated RWD successor of the Tiburon have been subtle for the past couple of days. We posted up an article of a focus group's recount of the new Tiburon, confirming that the Tiburon will be a serious player in the market. Today, we got a couple of amateur spy photos of the BK caught testing in a freeway in South Korea. Thanks to a little traffic jam the engineers encountered, the photographer managed to snap some quality shots of the BK in near idle.
These latest shots tell us that the new Tiburon will be considerably longer than its predecessor, nearly the same length as the Infiniti G35 Coupe. Just as the Veracruz benchmarked the Lexus RX350, the Tiburon seems to have benchmarked the Infiniti. The new Tiburon will be available with a 2.0L 215hp turbo and a modified 3.8L V6 producing around 280hp. It is likely the same powertrain will be found on the entry-level V6 Genesis.
Rumors are emerging of the fact that the BK is not the replacement of the Tiburon after all. However, the current Tiburon has been on the market since 2002 and it is in desperate need of a replacement model. As the replacement model is confirmed to arrive in 2008, we should be seeing test prototypes well in progress by now. Even if the BK is considerably longer than the current Tiburon, we're safe to say that this is our new Tiburon. Continue reading to view more shots of the BK.

Subaru drops Legacy Wagon and Outback Sedan
For 2008, Subaru has simplified the Legacy/Outback line-up with the deletion of the Legacy Wagon and the Outback Sedan. That only leaves the Legacy Sedan and the Outback Wagon in the dwelling. In our opinion, the Outback Sedan is good riddance, especially for Subaru as it performed poorly in sales. Also, for the hefty price, we would just upgrade to a AWD sport-ute. The Legacy Wagon, however, will be missed as it was the only station wagon in America that aggregated performance and practicality.
The Legacy Wagon is still on sale and going strong in Japan. According to Subaru, this move is an attempt to differentiate the Legacy and the Outback more. Unfortunately, it makes sense.

FINALLY: 2008 Hyundai Veracruz adds LG Navigation system
The Hyundai Veracruz stirred copious amounts of attention when it was unveiled in Detroit this January. Albeit being targeted at the Toyota Highlander and the Honda Pilot, Hyundai went further and benchmarked the Lexus RX350. A Hyundai versus a Lexus? Motor Trend took a shot at it and surprisingly the Veracruz surpassed the Lexus.
A big turn-off for the Veracruz, however, was the lack of the availability of an in-dash navigation system or even Bluetooth. What did we say about Hyundai's efforts to improve every year? For 2008, the Veracruz Limited can be opted with a LG-designed in-dash navigation system. With that, you can also opt for Bluetooth wireless technology on all trims in the line-up. These new additions will further boost the Veracruz's already strong sales. Other features previously optional on the Limited will now be standard on its flagship trim including memory seats and proximity key entry.
Even though the Lexus RX350 is still the king here, we'd say the Veracruz is darn close. While they're at it, the Pilot and Highlander would have to face some tough competition against the new kid on the block in the coming months. Continue reading to view the official press release. PRESS RELEASE: 2008 HYUNDAI VERACRUZ ADDS NAVIGATION
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., When introduced in 2007, the all-new 7-passenger Veracruz took the auto industry by storm, raising the bar on what consumers could expect in the premium, midsize crossover segment. Building on that momentum, the Veracruz gets even better for 2008, adding an all-new navigation system, designed for Hyundai by LG, one of the world’s leading electronics manufacturers.
NEW EQUIPMENT HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2008
· LG navigation system
· Previously optional equipment on Limited model, now standard
o Memory settings for power driver seat, exterior mirrors and steering wheel
o Power tilt/telescopic steering wheel
o Adjustable gas and brake pedals
o Proximity key with immobilizer
o Rain-sensing wipers
o 115-volt power outlet
o Lighted door scuff plates
· Power tailgate and 115-volt outlet now available on SE model
Also for 2008, the Veracruz Limited model adds several high-demand features to its long list of standard equipment. This equipment includes: memory settings for the power driver seat, exterior mirrors and steering wheel, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, adjustable gas and brake pedals, proximity key with immobilizer, rain-sensing wipers, 115-volt power outlets and lighted door scuff plates.
A unique blend of substance, luxury and style, the 2008 Hyundai Veracruz targets the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander, while offering the kind of upscale amenities and premium craftsmanship found in the Lexus RX350 and Mercedes-Benz ML.
BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL
The Veracruz demonstrates Hyundai’s product expansion and global design evolution through its continued use of organic forms to create a refined and luxurious exterior appearance. Fluid lines, which combine with integrated headlights and taillights, help create a unified aesthetic for the vehicle.
Up front, the sculpted bumper creates the appearance of additional height. Three-tiered headlights complement the design. The grille combines a flat-lined upper chrome bezel and a curved lower bezel. Distinctive character lines and a fast profile enhance the stylish, yet functional imagery of the vehicle. Adding to its appearance is the Veracruz’s seductive beltline, which ascends from the wraparound headlights, around the tapering body, then down to the prominent tail lights. Chrome trim is strategically applied to highlight some of Veracruz’s design features, but also works to create an elegant, luxurious presence for the vehicle. The prominent wheel arches house 17- or 18-inch wheels.
Smooth and solid in its stance, the Veracruz even impresses as it departs. The integrated rear fascia has a sculpted section that blends seamlessly into the sides of the tail lights. The tail lights angle towards the character line highlighting the rounded back glass and dual exhaust tips. A rear spoiler enhances the Veracruz’s sporty profile.
INTELLIGENT INTERIOR
Inside, passengers are coddled in a rich, sophisticated environment inspired by boutique hotels. The result is an interior that could be found in the finest luxury sedans, thanks to intelligent ergonomic engineering, intuitive design, and superior craftsmanship by Hyundai designers and engineers. Hyundai has crafted a winner, combining space with elegance and including conveniences that exceed expectations.
Every major component of Veracruz has been designed to reduce cabin noise below that of the whisper-quiet Lexus RX350. To isolate outside noise, Hyundai applies acoustic dampening sheets to the doors and unibody, a steel plate beneath the engine and four layers of carpet padding. Engine noise is reduced through an electronically controlled engine mount, a multi-curvature dash, custom hood insulation and a pillow tripod joint, which lessens vibrations from the driveshaft at idle.
Seating for seven adults is made possible because of Hyundai’s standard Hideaway™ third-row seat. Access to the third row is simple with the flip of a lever to slide the second row forward. Additionally, a well-thought out design means cargo space is abundant in the Veracruz. Although 9.7 inches shorter than the Mercedes Benz GL, the Veracruz still has more cargo volume.
Available dual-zone climate controls for driver and front-seat passenger further enhance the Veracruz’s luxury credentials. Second- and third-row passengers enjoy a new level of comfort, due to B-pillar-mounted adjustable vents, rear HVAC controls and roof-mounted vents.
Brushed metal accents and blue backlighting for all interior gauges, switches and buttons highlight the modern, integrated interior design. Even the front cupholders are accented with blue light to aid nighttime driving, while soft blue lighting in the overhead console provides subdued mood lighting. Hyundai’s focused attention to detail can be seen throughout the interior – console bins and the glovebox are lined with soft flocking material. Powerpoint caps, seatbelt buckles and cupholder inserts are color-keyed for design harmony. Soft-touch, high-quality materials, low-gloss surfaces and zero-tolerance fits are used throughout the interior.
An AM/FM/XM Satellite Radio®/CD/MP3 audio system includes an internal 172-watt amplifier and six speakers and comes standard in the Veracruz GLS and SE. The 315-watt Infinity® AM/FM/XM Satellite Radio/CD-changer/MP3 audio system with subwoofer and external amplifier is standard on the Limited trim and optional in the SE. Audiophiles with even more demanding tastes will be impressed by the Infinity AM/FM/XM Satellite Radio/CD-changer/MP3 audio system that includes a 605-watt external amplifier, 10 speakers and Logic 7® surround sound available on the SE and Limited trim levels.
The new LG navigation system available on Limited models includes touch screen functions, point-of-interest features for all entertainment needs and audio/visual prompts to assist in getting drivers to where they want to go. Other thoughtful convenience features include a proximity key, rain-sensing wipers, auto dimming exterior mirrors, mirror-mounted approach lights, adjustable pedals, memory settings for the power driver seat, exterior mirrors and steering wheel, backup warning system, power liftgate, and a rear-seat entertainment system that includes a DVD player and eight-inch overhead LCD.
INNER POWER
On the street, the new Veracruz offers capable, fuel-efficient performance courtesy of a modern 3.8-liter DOHC V6 engine. It delivers 260 horsepower and 257 lb-ft. of torque. To maximize torque across the rev range, the engine utilizes Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) on the intake valves and a Variable Intake System which helps cylinders breathe efficiently at both low and high RPM. The engine has an aluminum block and cylinder heads for light weight and thermal efficiency, and features a steel timing chain with no scheduled maintenance.
To reduce vibration, the engine rides on newly developed semi-active engine mounting, which consists of three passive mounts integrated with a controllable element, rpm sensor and solenoid valve. The active mount is vacuum-activated to offset engine vibrations. In fact, Veracruz has less idling vibration and noise than the Lexus RX350.
To help put the power to use, the engine is mated to an Aisin six-speed gearbox with SHIFTRONIC® manual control. The transmission offers silky smooth shifts and a wide spread of ratios that ideally suits the engine’s capabilities. Drivers can access the SHIFTRONIC feature by moving the gear selector into a separate gate. Pushing the selector forward or pulling it rearward will shift the transmission up or down sequentially, adding to driver control. An LED readout on the instrument panel shows the gear that is in use. The transmission uses an integrated transmission control unit and low noise gears that help reduce friction.
All of this powertrain technology is put to efficient use in the Veracruz, which achieves a new EPA highway fuel economy estimate of 16 city/23 highway in front wheel drive models, and 15 city/23 highway in all wheel drive models, exceeding the smaller, less powerful Honda Pilot. Veracruz also delivers clean air, with a Low Emissions Vehicle (LEV) classification.
CHASSIS FEATURES
Hyundai engineers benchmarked the best crossovers in the world before designing Veracruz’s unibody and four-wheel independent suspension system. The rigid chassis and suspension geometry were specifically designed to deliver a supple, confident ride and help isolate the passenger cabin from imperfection in the road. The underpinnings are supported by a MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension system.
Upfront, reverse L-shaped lower control arms and high caster angles provide superior steering feel and excellent straight-line stability. Large subframe bushings improve the ride and isolate unwanted noise, vibration and harshness. All four wheels are controlled by coil springs, fade-resistant, gas-charged dampers and front and rear stabilizer bars. The Veracruz GLS is equipped with 17-inch, five-split-spoke aluminum wheels and 245/65R17 tires, while the SE and Limited trims ride on 18-inch, five-spoke aluminum wheels and 245/60R18 tires. Add in rack-and-pinion power steering, with a tighter turning radius than the shorter-in-length Lexus RX350 and Nissan Murano, and the end result is a vehicle with precise steering and handling, and a well-controlled yet comfortable ride.
AVAILABLE ELECTRONIC ALL WHEEL DRIVE
Hyundai has added an Intelligent Torque Controlled Coupling All Wheel Drive (AWD) system to propel Veracruz through the elements. Using wheel speed sensors to monitor the road and the driver, this electronic system can sense when and where more torque is required and route it there automatically. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a multi-plate clutch without any extra effort from the driver. An AWD lock mode can be engaged with the touch of a button, providing a 50:50 torque ratio when needed at low speeds.
SOPHISTICATED SAFETY SYSTEMS
The 2008 Veracruz embraces both active and passive safety with a host of leading-edge technologies. The vehicle’s advanced engineering provides a high level of precision during all aspects of driving, and is anchored by standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC), the industry’s most important new safety technology. By continually analyzing road speed, steering input, throttle position, lateral yaw rate and other factors, an onboard microprocessor determines if the vehicle is starting to understeer or oversteer, and automatically engages one or more brakes. The system also reduces engine output to help the driver maintain the intended path.
In addition, Veracruz adds large four-wheel disc brakes with a 10-inch tandem brake booster and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) for impressive stopping distance for a vehicle of its size. Brake Assist, which is also standard, maximizes braking force when an emergency stop is detected.
Veracruz’s passive safety features are equally impressive, beginning with six total airbags, including advanced dual front airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags and roof-mounted side curtain airbags for all three rows of seating. In addition, active front head restraints help prevent whiplash. All seating positions feature three-point seatbelts, while the second and third rows also feature adjustable head restraints. Security is provided through a standard alarm system and available engine immobilizer.
To absorb impact to the passenger cabin, Hyundai engineers optimized crumple zones and reinforced the architecture’s rails, side sill frame, floor cross-members and center pillars. These reinforcements have been tested thoroughly in laboratory and computer simulations. Veracruz has received the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) top five-star crash test rating for frontal and side impacts.
Convenient Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) points allow child seats to be secured in the second-row seats. Additional standard safety equipment includes a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), which alerts drivers if one or more tires are under inflated. An illuminated readout on the dash lets drivers know the exact tire needing inflation so corrective action can be taken.
THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE DETAILS
As with all Hyundai vehicles, Hyundai put a great deal of thought and attention into every aspect of Veracruz. One touch opens and closes the available power tailgate, and the proximity key means no more fishing for keys with groceries in hand. Approach lights, sometimes referred to as “puddle lamps,” can save your best pair of shoes. An integrated memory system returns the driver’s seat to a default setting. Equipping the rear bumper with backup warning sensors makes parallel parking a snap. Aerodynamic wiper blades improve visibility, and two-way nozzles, each with four streams of fluid, provide for remarkably clean windshields. Making wireless phone calls in your Veracruz is easy using optional Bluetooth® wireless technology.

HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA
Hyundai Motor America, headquartered in Fountain Valley, Calif., is a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Co. of Korea. Hyundai vehicles are distributed throughout the United States by Hyundai Motor America and are sold and serviced through more than 750 dealerships nationwide.

Opel releases 2008 Opel Agila full press-kit
Opel released the full press kit of the Agila subcompact car, slated to debut in Frankfurt this September. What's funny to note is that its showroom date is set for next spring which seems like an eternity to us. The Agila will be only available in Europe as of launch, and there are no reports that indicate the Agila's arrival in the States as a Saturn in the immediate future. At launch, the Agila will be available with two petrols, 1.0L 65hp 3-cylinder and a 1.2L 86hp 4-cylinder. Also in the list will be a 1.3L common-rail turbodiesel producing 75hp.
The Agila shares platform with its identical sibling, the Suzuki Splash. They sit on a shortened Suzuki Swift platform and both will be assembled alongside each other in Suzuki's Hungary plant. Continue reading for a hi-res image gallery and the official press release.

PRESS RELEASE: NEW OPEL AGILA: FRIENDLY, DYNAMIC, FLEXIBLE
* Design: Five doors, seating for five adults
* Functional: Versatile thanks to practical details
* Styling: Balanced proportions, distinctive lines
* Powertrain: Two gasoline engines, one turbo-diesel, automatic transmission
Rüsselsheim/Venice July 11, 2007. With five doors and five seats, the new Opel Agila is not only as practical as its predecessor, which sold over 440,000 units, but is now also much more dynamically designed. The small, versatile Opel will be unveiled to the public at the IAA in Frankfurt (September 13 – 23, 2007) and makes its market premiere in spring 2008. It boasts balanced proportions, soft curves and a distinctive side graphic. Its passengers still sit high and upright, but the roofline has been dynamically lowered and now blends into a smooth arc toward the rear. This helps create the Agila’s aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.35 – a relatively low figure for a vehicle of this size. The urban car is now 20 centimeters longer, six centimeters wider, but seven centimeters lower than its predecessor.
The front boasts typical Opel styling. With its round headlamps integrated into almond-shaped lamp units that echo the new Corsa, the Agila sees the world through wide eyes. The tapering of the front and rear bumpers are also typical Opel elements, just like the crease in the hood. The rear also features several rounded details. The positioning of the narrow vertical light units, which are accented by the spherically styled rear lights, allowed designers to create a large, easy load-through tailgate.
The same is true for the interior: the boring days are over. A wide selection of fresh colors and modern styles create an ambience that’s enhanced even more by the spacious headroom. The versatile five-seater’s high seating position ensures good visibility, while the high placed gear stick and height-adjustable steering wheel with radio remote controls ensure easy operation. The rev counter is housed separately on the instrument panel. All other information readouts are given on large, distinctive, round instruments.
As an urban car it also offers plenty of compartments and boxes for storing all passengers’ belongings. But it’s not just car essentials that the new Agila stows away easily. Despite its compact exterior dimensions, the new Opel urban car boasts a surprisingly large luggage compartment. Its standard capacity up to the luggage compartment cover is 225 liters, large enough for a stroller, for example. One turn of a handle drops the rear bench seat back, increasing the load volume to an impressive 1050 liters – a top value in this segment. The rear bench seat and back also splits 60:40 for even greater versatility.
All Agila models have a wide range of standard equipment, including safety features such as ABS, front and side airbags for driver and front passenger, front passenger airbag deactivation and mountings for the ISOFIX child seat system. And thanks to the five doors as standard, small children can be secured into a child seat quickly and safely. Standard comfort features in the entry-level version include speed-dependent power steering, height-adjustable driver and front passenger seats, rear window washer with interval selection and power tailgate with touchpad. The Enjoy model boasts an even greater range of standard features.
Two gasoline engines make their world premiere in the new Agila. Supplied by cooperation partner Suzuki, they share the same design - aluminum cylinder block and head, as well as two overhead camshafts. The entry-level unit is the almost one-liter, three-cylinder gasoline engine. The four-valve unit produces 65 hp (48 kW) and has a top speed of 160 km/h1. The 1.2-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine produces 86 hp (63 kW), accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in less than
12 seconds and has a top speed of 174 km/h (values for five-speed manual version). This engine is now optionally available with a four-speed automatic transmission – an especially attractive alternative for city driving.
The fuel-saving master among the Agila engines is the 1.3-liter common-rail turbo-diesel. Developed by GM Powertrain, the diesel engine is a true multi-talent and also offers an especially efficient alternative in the Corsa and Astra model lines. In the new Agila it produces 75 hp (55 kW), has a top speed of 162 km/h and a zero to 100 km/h sprint of 13.5 seconds. The powerful diesel unit with a maximum torque of 190 Nm is very economical: on average it consumes less than five liters per 100 km, which represents a CO2 per kilometer value of under 130 g (finalized values not yet available).
Make the Agila even more agile – that was the aim during chassis development. The new dynamic look is also reflected in the car’s responsiveness. The Agila’s chassis, which features A-arms and McPherson struts in front and a torsion beam axle in the rear, is tuned for driving fun. Depending on the market and equipment variant, the Agila also features an Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
Young, single seeks…: … New Opel Agila
* Target group: Young and youthful people with active lifestyles
* Growth market: Increasing sales expected in urban car segment
* Success story: Over 440,000 first-generation Agila models sold in Europe
“Young and youthful women are Opel’s first target group with the new Agila. This modern urban car perfectly suits their city lifestyle as it combines compact dimensions with a stylish exterior, high levels of functionality and plenty of driving fun.” -Alain Visser, Executive Director European Marketing Opel
Unlike many of its competitors, Opel’s latest model has five doors and five fully fledged seats. And with its large and versatile luggage compartment, it provides many practical uses combined with compact dimensions and excellent value for money.
When it comes to the lifestyle of active women today, the watchword is balance. Job, fitness, shopping, meeting friends and getting from A to B – a car makes everything easier to manage, and preferably one that is as versatile as its owner. The new Opel Agila meets all of these great demands. It’s a stylish urban car – a mini monocab – which is compact and maneuverable for tight parking spaces, yet boasts an interior that is spacious enough even for bulky sport and hobby equipment. It also has enough seats to ensure comfort for family and friends. Men and women of all ages will appreciate how easy it is to get into and out of the new Agila, and children too. ISOFIX child seat mountings are standard on board for small children.
Around 1.1 million customers in Western and Central Europe bought a vehicle from the urban car segment in 2006, with the Agila achieving a 6.6 percent market share. Market researchers also predict strong growth in this segment from 2008, forecasting annual
mid-term sales of 1.3 million units in Western and Central Europe. This predicted growth is supported by two factors: firstly, the arrival of new, attractive models in 2008, such as the second-generation Agila. And secondly, the dimensions of urban cars are now very close to those of cars in the next-largest car segment, the supermini.
The modern urban car’s greatest potential is in Southern Europe, where the first-generation Agila had its largest fan base. Italy was by far the largest Agila market, with a share of 57 percent, followed by Germany with 23 percent. Since its launch in 2000, over 440,000 Agila models have been sold across Europe.
Design: Distinctive charm, inside and out
* Friendly: Bold front with large headlamps
* Flowing: Rounded lines create natural charm
* Cheerful: Fresh interior colors
"With its rather cheeky look, the new Agila fits perfectly into the current Opel model portfolio. And its big friendly eyes and smiling radiator grille will win many hearts". - Uwe Müller, Agila Designer
The Agila has always been practical. "But the objective for the second-generation Agila was even greater: we wanted to give our smallest car considerably more charm without compromising its functionality," says Chief Designer Uwe Müller, describing the new Agila’s concept phase.
Mission accomplished! The new Agila boasts balanced proportions, soft curves and distinctive side graphics. Its passengers still sit high and upright, but the roofline has been dynamically lowered and now blends into a smooth arc toward the rear. This helps create the Agila’s aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.35 – a relatively low figure for a 3.74-meter long vehicle.
The front boasts typical Opel styling. With its round headlamps integrated into almond-shaped lamp units that echo the new Corsa, the Agila sees the world through wide eyes. Another Opel design element is the spoon-shaped trim around the fog lamps and the tapering of the front and rear bumpers. The front bumper is further emphasized by the typical crease in the hood.
A round recess proudly displays the large Opel logo, and also serves as an organic fusion between the distinctively chromed, smiling radiator grille and the hood. The rear also boasts several rounded elements. The positioning of the narrow vertical light units, which are accented by the spherically styled rear lights, allowed designers to create a large, easy load-through tailgate.
The new Agila is also a forerunner for style elements that will play a greater role in Opel designs in the future. These include the dynamic line stretching from the front wheel arch under the beltline toward the rear and the carefully crafted lower edge of the body flanks. The red-tinted instrument illumination made its Opel world premiere in the celebrated Opel GTC Coupé concept car, which was presented in March 2007 at the Geneva Motor Show.
The same is true for the interior: The boring days are over. “A wide selection of fresh colors and modern styles creates an ambience that’s enhanced even more by the spacious headroom,” says Interior Designer Belinda Müller. Grey on grey is out. The center console, instrument panel trim and upholstery in cheerful color accents such as orange or blue create a pleasant atmosphere on board (more about this in the “Life on board” chapter).
The style and tailoring of the materials are also a major step forward. The versatile five-seater’s high seating position ensures good visibility, while the high placed gear stick and height-adjustable steering wheel with radio remote controls ensure easy operation. The rev counter is housed separately on the instrument panel. All other information readouts are given on large, distinctive, round instruments.
Life on board: Best Conditions for the Urban Jungle
* Everything to hand: Many practical compartments
* Everything stowed away: Large and very practical luggage compartment
* Everything on board: Extensive equipment ex works
"It’s charming and looks good. The new baby Opel Agila is also really practical, thanks to its versatile functionality and extensive equipment." - Sara Nicholson, Opel European Marketing Manager
Everything a woman needs to survive in the urban jungle, and often a little bit more, can be found in her handbag. And the bag itself is also a fashion statement. This is not the only similarity with the new Opel Agila – as an urban car it also offers plenty of compartments and boxes.
Storage space for the smaller – and somewhat larger – essentials for everyday car travel can be stored in:
* A large closed compartment on top of the instrument panel with coin holder and space for up to three CDs
* A pocket on the back of the front passenger seat
* The spacious glove compartment
* The front door panel boxes, which can also hold a road atlas or one-liter plastic bottle
* A small compartment beneath the air conditioning control for a wallet, mobile phone, etc.
* A cup and a bottle holder in the center tunnel (can also hold a 1.5-liter plastic bottle)
* An additional compartment (Enjoy) beneath the luggage compartment floor with special sections for a warning triangle, first aid kit, etc.
* A sunglasses holder on the driver’s side
But it’s not just car essentials that the new Agila stows away easily. Despite its compact exterior dimensions, the new Opel urban car boasts a surprisingly large luggage compartment. Its standard capacity up to the luggage compartment cover is 225 liters, large enough for a stroller, for example. One turn of a handle drops the rear bench seat back, increasing the load volume to an impressive 1050 liters – a top value in this segment. Folding the rear bench seat flat (can split 60:40) creates a completely flat load floor.
The entry-level Agila Essentia already has a wide range of standard equipment, including safety features such as ABS, as well as front and side airbags for driver and front passenger. The outer rear seats are fitted with mountings for the ISOFIX child seat system, and thanks to the five doors as standard, small children can be secured into a child seat quickly and safely. Standard comfort features in the entry-level version also include speed-dependent power steering, height-adjustable driver and front passenger seats, rear window washer with interval selection and power tailgate with touchpad.
"All inclusive" is the motto of the Agila Enjoy, which boasts an even greater range of standard features, including:
* Remote control central locking
* Air conditioning
* On-board computer
* Rev counter
* Power heated exterior mirrors
* Power windows in front
* Height-adjustable steering wheel
* Front fog lamps
* Radio with MP3-compatible CD player
* Radio remote control on steering wheel
* 60:40 split, flat-folding rear bench seat and back to form a flat load floor
* 15-inch wheels
Engines and Chassis: Moving forward
* Spirited: Gasoline engines with 1.0 and 1.2-liter displacements
* Powerful: Efficient 1.3-liter turbo-diesel
* Comfortable: New four-speed automatic for 1.2-liter gasoline engine
"The new Agila cuts a fine figure in all situations, and its agile chassis and three lively engines with low consumption and CO2 levels provide plenty of driving fun."
Hans Demant, Opel Managing Director
Two gasoline engines make their world premiere in the new Agila. Developed by Suzuki, they share the same basic design - aluminum cylinder block and head, two overhead camshafts, multi-point injection - and differ only in number of cylinders, displacement and output.
The entry-level unit is the almost one-liter, three-cylinder gasoline engine. The four-valve unit produces 65 hp (48 kW), has a maximum torque of 90 Nm and accelerates the Agila from zero to 100 km/h in 14.8 seconds. The version fitted with the five-speed manual transmission has a top speed of 160 km/h. When it comes to fuel, the Agila 1.0 is especially frugal, requiring only 5.3 liters/100 kilometers, which represents 126 g CO2 per kilometer.
The 1.2-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with 16 valves produces 86 hp (63 kW), and has maximum torque of 114 Nm. The Agila 1.2 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in
12 seconds and has a top speed of 174 km/h (values for five-speed manual version). Despite the increased dynamics, the four-cylinder engine with manual transmission remains very economical: it requires an average of 5.7 liters/100 kilometers, which represents 135 g CO2 per kilometer. A brand new addition to the Agila model line is the option of a four-speed automatic transmission with the larger gasoline engine – an especially attractive alternative for city driving.
The fuel-saving master among the Agila engines is the 1.3-liter common-rail turbo-diesel. The direct injection unit already impressed long-distance drivers in the first-generation Agila with its economy and propulsion power. Developed by GM Powertrain, the diesel engine is a true multi-talent and also offers an interesting alternative in the Corsa and Astra model lines. In the new Agila it produces 75 hp (55 kW), has a top speed of 162 km/h and a zero to 100 km/h sprint in 13.5 seconds. The powerful diesel unit (maximum torque of 190 Nm available at 2000 rpm) is very economical. On average it consumes less than five liters per 100 km, which represents a CO2 per kilometer value of under 130 g. Fuel tank capacity is 45 liters.
Overview of Agila Engines:
Make the Agila even more agile – that was the aim during chassis development, to interpret the new dynamic look into corresponding agility. The Agila’s chassis, which features A-arms and McPherson struts in front and a torsion beam axle in the rear, is tuned for driving fun, and ABS is fitted as standard. Depending on the market and equipment variant, the Agila also features an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and head curtain airbags. With this system fitted, the Traction Control Support System (TCSS) can be switched off, which is helpful when traveling through deep snow with snow chains, for example.
Five doors, seating for five adults, the high luggage compartment volume, numerous storage boxes and brand-typical flexibility already take the extensively equipped new Opel Agila well above its competitors as a top urban car. But what would the practicality be without the attractive looks, which the new model now has with its distinctive interior and exterior styling. Agile performance is ensured by the chassis tuned for driving fun and the three spirited engines. The additional touch of driving comfort is provided by the newly available four-speed automatic transmission.

* Cheerful: Fresh interior colors
