Wald Tuned Nissan GT-R

Wald International has officially introduced their new body package for the Nissan GT-R. The Japanese tuner has not released any engine modifications, citing the "difficulty in tuning the GT-R's engine."

The company has created several carbon-fibre body parts to lighten the vehicle's weight and make the car more aerodynamic. They custom built a front-lip spoiler and nose cover, and rear wing. Low-drag duct covers from another lightweight composite material are in place, while under the hood the cutomer will find a carbon-fibre engine cover.

Wald's aero-kit comes in the glossy finish typically used for street cars, called wet carbon fibre, or a dull matte grey color, called dry carbon fibre. The second choice is usually used on racers. A wet carbon kit starts at 1,039,500 yen ($11,620), with the dry carbon kit going for about 2,362,500 ($26,410). Prices include taxes.

Nissan 370Z Tuning Package by Branew

Other Japanese automakers must be green with envy at Nissan's current success with the sports car genre. Tuners on the other hand, salivate each time the Japanese car maker is mentioned. Branew is one such tuner. Also based in Japan, Branew plans to launch a very comprehensive tuning kit for the new Nissan 370Z at the Tokyo Auto Salon in a couple of weeks' time.

Branew developed a new sports exhaust for the car, reprogrammed the standard 332hp 3.7-litre V6's ECU, upgraded its brake system and added a new sports suspension kit. Carbon fibre exterior kit includes front spoiler, side steps, rear spoiler, a rear air diffuser and a rear wing. Multi-spoke alloy wheels will be offered in various sizes for that final touch of performance.

Nissan GT-R COBRA N+ Tuning Concept

One of Germany's foremost Nissan tuners COBRA N+ has been working on one of their most prized projects, the Nissan GT-R. It's a well known fact that the GT-R's 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 develops a potent dose of 485hp / 357kW in standard form, pushed along by a 4WD system.

COBRA N+ believes power can only be substituted with more power, and therefore during the first tuning stage the brand expects to yield a more meaningful 550 hp / 410kW. Torque will go up to a maximum of 680Nm. At these levels the car will sprint from 0 - 100km/h in 3.5 seconds, with a top velocity of 320km/h. The second stage at some point will see the GT-R producing 620hp / 462kW and peak torque of about 800Nm. Then they will call it RACE PERFORMANCE.

COBRA N+ reckons it will achieve these first stage performance numbers through reprogramming of the electronics, boost pressure of 0.15 bar and modified air intakes fitted with sport air filters.

Other performance enhancing features are 21-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, 8-piston brake calipers, front end lift reduction mechanisms through an aerodynamic part and an integrated diffuser.

Inside the car is layered with carbon fiber bits and pieces, leather/ Alcantara materials and a roll cage. COBRA N+ will offer their modified GT-R as soon as the European market launch happens in 2009.

Nissan GT-R 600hp Godzilla Package by Hennessey

Hennessey Performance Engineering has just made us even bigger fans of the Nissan GT-R. The Texas-based tuner released a 600 hp (441 kW) upgrade to the car just in time for the holidays.

Called the Godzilla 600, the tuning package also provides up to 570 ft-lb (773 Nm) of torque.

This is not the first GT-R specific upgrade from the company. They have a tweek to the on-board computer software that adds 65 hp (48 kW) and 75 lb-ft (102 Nm) of torque after only 10 minutes.

The Godzilla 600 is not as simple. This package includes an upgrade to the air induction system, electronic boost control, an improved wastegate actuator, and front-mount intercooler system. Also included are turbo down pipes, mid-pipe exhaust, and rear section exhaust all in stainless steel.

Hennessey will install the package for $14,500, or ship the items to you for $11,500.

We wonder how soon you will notice the difference as you try to outrun Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol as you race down I-10 away from HPE headquarters.

Nissan Fairlady Z

The car that the rest of us know as the Nissan 370Z is now on sale in its home market, bearing the familiar Fairlady Z nameplate that it's traditionally worn in Japan. The updated, retro-modern styling, new 247 kW (337 PS) VQ37VHR 3.7-liter V6 and choice of six-speed rev-matching manual or seven-speed automatic transmissions are the same that we saw at the car's Los Angeles Auto Show debut.

The new, more compact body carries styling cues from classic Fairlady models and distinct "Z" badging. Lightening measures such as aluminum body panels keep the weight down, and the new interior uses higher-quality materials including a new "Forte Suede" cloth. Soft-touch materials make the cabin a friendlier place, and the new Fairlady's interior has been optimized for performance driving as well. A factory-installed HDD-based CARWINGS navigation system is available.

On-road performance has been increased. In addition to the lightening measures, the car is more powerful, of course. The groundbreaking new transmissions are coupled to an independent suspension and aluminum-caliper opposed-piston Akebono brakes at all four corners. Nissan's Vehicle Dynamic Control stability control is also standard.

The Fairlady Z's home-market pricing ranges from 3,622,500 yen ($38K) to 4,462,500 ($47K) yen, including Japan's consumption tax. Some Japan-specific "performance" specifications that you might not have heard include the Fairlady Z's 95% recyclability rate, and a reduction of interior volatile organic compounds.

Nissan officially enters South Korea

Nissan KoreaNissan Korea officially marked its beginning in the South Korean market today at its launching event in Seoul. The initial line-up consists of the Murano and Rogue crossovers. Greg Phillips, the head of Nissan Korea, announced that other models, such as Altima and GT-R, will reach Korean shores by next year.

Simultaneously with the launch of the brand, Nissan opened four official dealerships located in Seoul, Bundang, and Busan. A fifth dealer was also announced for the first-half of 2009. The brand introduced a "3S" mantra: Sales, Service, and Spare parts. As Nissan shares close ties with the prominent brand Renault-Samsung, all Nissan vehicles can be serviced at all nine Renault-Samsung A/S centers across South Korea. Phillips stated that Nissan aims to nab a 10 percent market share of the import-car segment in South Korea by 2015.

The Rogue is available in three trims: 2WD, 4WD Deluxe, and 4WD Premium. The trio is respectively priced at a segment-busting 29.9 million Won (USD$22,535), 34.6 million Won (USD$26,078), and 35.9 million Won (USD$27,058). The Murano is priced at 48.9 million Won (USD$36,856).

Nissan GT-R Club Sport Package by Nismo

Official Nissan motorsports and performance tuning arm, Nismo, has revealed its eagerly anticipated Club Sport upgrade package for the R35 Nissan GT-R. With a focus on reducing weight and increased handling, the package consists of RAYS forged aluminum wheels (Front 20x9.5 (+45mm offset) and Rear 20x10.5 (+25mm offset) with Bridgestone RE070R run-flats (F 225/40 and R 285/35), Bilstein's Damptronic struts, which are basically height adjustable coilovers with electronically controlled dampening, 11-pound lighter rear exhaust system and carbon fiber undertray. Inside the seats get upgraded to a carbon fiber backrest trimmed in leather with side airbags but without heavy electrical adjustment resulting in 13 pounds saved. Unfortunately, the package is only available in Japan through official Nismo shops with a huge price of ¥5,460,000 (€35,000), however, rest assured specialty importers have already inked distribution deals with Nismo, although without a warranty.

Arios GT-R Carbon-Fibre Body Kit

Lets step back and evaluate for a second, the Nissan GT-R has just completed the famous Nurburgring in just 7min 29sec, it has been sold out in almost every county that can get their hands on it even a year before it is launched. The mean looks makes us think the devil has changed to the form of the GT-R and risen from the depths of hell to conquer the earth, so what would any tuner be doing trying to enhance arguably the best ride on the planet?

The answer according to Japanese Tuner Arios is to keep modifications subtle with a new carbon-fibre body kit comprising of a front lip spoiler, nose and engine covers and sidestep side skits. Addtionally for those of you with that nostalgic feeling, Arios will also change the R35’s front GT-R emblem with the oldschool emblem from a Skyline GT-R KPCG10. The Arios GT-R is still a work in progress with further carbon-fibre body parts including a rear spoiler to be offered in the future.

Beware Hyundai: Nissan and Toyota entering South Korea by 2009

I immigrated to Canada 7 years ago with my parents from South Korea. During my years in South Korea, I clearly remember that import cars were second to scarce. I would regularly pass by residential parking lots labelled "No Import Cars". Patriotism, perhaps? 7 years later, the scenario is completely different. Import cars are rapidly becoming cheaper and alongside premium makes such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz, mainstream automakers like Honda and Ford have stepped onto the scene. The import plague is likely to continue as by 2009, Toyota and Nissan will be entering the South Korean market as well. In other words, it means the Japanese Big 3 has finally landed on Korean soil.

Nissan Korea has announced its plans to commence sales in the coming October. The initial models at launch are the Altima, Rogue, and Murano. Toyota, the automaker holding the crown in the Land of the Rising Sun, is slated to enter the market by 2009 - with the Camry and RAV4. This seems awfully similar to Honda's initial line-up in South Korea, which consisted of the Accord and CR-V. Both models have seen demanding sales, and the numbers prove that as the Honda CR-V is currently the best selling import car in the country.

This, in the view of consumers, is incredible news. The imminent threat of the strong selling Camry and Altima can possibly equate to lower prices for the Hyundai Sonata. The Sonata still holds the monopoly in the mid-size market, and the high local pricing has sparked criticisms for years. Will this announcement mark the demise of that domestic domination? 7 years ago, that would be a definite no. Today, however, that might as well change.

Nissan GT-R Performance Kits from Japan's Top Tuners

With every can fan on the planet still awestruck by Nissan’s new GT-R supercar, news that top Japanese tuning firms are already offering upgrades may be enough to send them over the edge. Here are the highlights of the upcoming raft of aftermarket bolt-ons for Nissan’s new supercar:

Mines have developed adjustable coilover suspension, a 400mm brake kit, high-flow catalysers and a more freer-flowing titanium exhaust system. This has already seen a 20bhp hike in dyno tests and the firm is busying itself working on the ECU to allow the car to run higher boost levels.

Sunline Racing have also been hard at work, replacing the standard wheels with staggered 19in and 20in Volk Racing items and working on their own adjustable coilover suspension kits.

Amuse showed their larger carbon fibre rear wing, carbon front bumper lip and titanium cat-back exhaust system at the recent Tokyo Autosalon.

JUN are developing stronger engine internals and larger turbos to be released later in the year, while legendary Skyline tuners Top Secret already have a full carbon fibre aero kit in the pipeline.

Nissan Lineup For Geneva Announced

The first day is barely in the can at the Chicago Auto Show, and already Nissan is trying to get attention for their stand at next month's show in Geneva. While this would make sense if Nissan were announcing the unveiling of something new, unique, and/or special, it just does not appear to be the case.

Last year, Nissan unveiled the second generation of their highly successful X-Trail SUV in Switzerland. This wise move was predicated by the large annual European sales of the X-Trail. Barring any surprises by the Japanese automaker, the automaker will put their three most talked about models over the last year on the stand, but will have no world premiers at the show.

Fanboys will gather around the Nissan GT-R throughout the duration of the show, 20-somethings and families will surround the new Nissan Murano, and curious onlooker will try to figure out what Nissan engineers were smoking when they created the Nissan Pivo II. All three are making there European debuts.

At the show, we will get some more details about the Murano, which goes on sale in Europe this October. And we are excited about the Euro specs and pricing for the GT-R, which will be announced in Geneva. I guess Nissan does have some news after all.

Press Release

Source: Newspress

Three ‘stars’ on display showing Nissan’s commitment to passionate performance, design, innovation and technology: GT-R New Murano Pivo 2 GT-R The hotly anticipated Nissan GT-R represents Nissan’s passion for cars and driving, providing exceptional performance thanks to its all-new 3.8 V6 twin-turbo engine. Producing 353kW (480PS) and 588Nm, which is transmitted to its four wheels through one of the most advanced all-wheel drive systems ever developed, via a transaxle mounted dual-clutch, paddle-shift operated gearbox. Driver adjustable suspension, gearbox and stability control settings tune the GT-R’s dynamic characteristics according to the conditions or preferred style of driving. This adaptability reinforces the central philosophy behind the GT-R; the supercar for anyone, anytime, anywhere. While the GT-R is as happy to drive sedately in an urban environment, its impeccable sporting credentials have been underlined by its lap of 7m38s at the legendary Nordschleife [Nürburgring] circuit in Germany, one of the fastest times ever recorded by a production car.

Sales of the GT-R will start from March 2009 and European prices and specifications will be announced at the show, as will details of the network strategy to support the car’s sales and service.

New Murano The all-new Murano will build on the success of the existing model by offering more style, more refinement, improved performance and greater interior comfort and space.

One of the most distinctive models on the market, the current Murano has carved itself a position as a dynamic and striking crossover which represents a real alternative to road-based SUVs.

The new model continues that trend, thanks to its unique mix of strength, security and all-wheel drive reassurance normally found in an SUV, combined with the dynamic performance and striking appearance of a sporty passenger car.

Externally the second generation Murano shares obvious DNA with the original and the signature upswept rear side window line is retained, but taken altogether the changes are comprehensive; indeed, every body panel is different.

Inside, there is greater comfort and refinement – particularly for rear passengers – as well as more equipment and a greater sense of travelling in “business class”.

Murano continues to be powered by Nissan’s familiar 3.5-litre VQ engine which has been revised to offer improved performance. Now developing 265PS and 325Nm (240Ib ft) of torque, the 24 valve twin cam V6 provides better performance against the stop watch… and at the fuel pumps.

Improvements have also been made to the Murano’s Xtronic CVT transmission, which represents a major evolution of the technology. Extensively re-engineered with a 20 per cent reduction in friction losses, the new CVT improves fuel economy at the same time as improving shift speeds and responsiveness.

And Murano will be the first model in Nissan’s European range to be available with the company’s Scratch Shield Paint which protects the exterior from marks and scratches typically sustained in everyday life. The paint repairs the marks thanks to a newly developed highly elastic resin that helps prevent the scratches from damaging the base layer paint.

Sales of the new Murano will begin in Europe in October.

Pivo 2 Pivo 2 represents the other end of Nissan’s passion for cars, which can be characterised as friendly, innovative and design-led. It represents a commitment to finding new, innovative and bold solutions for future generations of motorists.

Pivo 2 is a zero-emissions vehicle propelled by four small 3D disc motors in each wheel and powered by advanced Super-Thin Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries. The driver can always face the direction of travel as the cabin rotates 360 degrees and each wheel has 90 degrees of movement, meaning parking manoeuvres can be executed easily.

Entrance to the cabin is via a single, front-mounted door which also houses the major controls. Operation is made possible thanks to “X by Wire” technology, meaning that the steering and other mechanical linkages are replaced by electronic signals to operate Pivo 2’s drive systems.

2008 Nissan GT-R GT500 Ready for Tokyo Auto Salon

The GT500 specification Nissan GT-R racing car, will make its public debut at the upcoming "Tokyo Auto Salon with NAPAC" (January 11-13, 2008 at Makuhari Messe), followed by the "Osaka Auto Messe 2008" (February 9-11, 2008 at Intecks Osaka), the country's two largest annual custom car shows.

The new works livery - which will be featured across Nissan motorsports activities during the 2008 season - will be unveiled on the race car. Nissan will vie for the SUPER GT Championship, one of the world's most demanding GT race series, with the new machine built on the same multi-performance super car concept of the Nissan GT-R road car.

The new livery resulted from close collaboration between Nissan's design team and NISMO, its motorsports affiliate company, and incorporates feedback from members of the "Club NISMO" fan club.

The signature wide "brush stroke" design motif, synonymous with the current Fairlady Z race car, was carried forward into the new GT-R racing car as Nissan's racing fans worldwide could immediately associate with the design. The livery design swipes forward from the rear in bold red and black - the red symbolizes the passion for racing, while the black signifies the high performance of the new Nissan GT-R.

Further details of the GT500 Nissan GT-R including technical specifications will be announced on January 31st, as well as Nissan's full range of global motorsports activities for the coming season.

2007 Nissan 350Z GT-S Concept

A small team of Nissan development engineers working in their spare time have transformed a 350Z into a highly tuned 'Saturday Special.' Called the GT-S, the supercharged super coupé is a performance-focused version of Nissan's acclaimed 'Z-'car' and is designed to appeal to enthusiastic 350Z owners who simply want more. Although boasting a power hike and a substantially modified chassis, the GT-S is far from being a stripped out racing car with a rock hard ride and a peaky power delivery. "The GT-S has been created as a real car not an ornament," says Communications Director Wayne Bruce. "We wanted to build a 'Club Special' that could still be used to commute to work during the week but would provide added thrills at the weekend: a weekday workhorse and a weekend warrior in one distinctive package.

The project's technical leader Steve Robbins — who during the week is a senior engineer in the new vehicle evaluation team at NTCE — gathered together half a dozen like-minded enthusiasts to work on the project.

Working after hours and at the weekend, the team members came from within NTCE and also from outside suppliers and was known internally as the S-Club Seven…

Most of the changes center on the car's engine and chassis. Using a supercharger installation from Swiss manufacturers Novidem, power has increased by more than 25 per cent from 300 hp to 382 hp, while torque rises from 353 Nm to a heady 425Nm.

Performance gains are expected to include a one second cut in the benchmark 0-60mph time (5.8 seconds for the standard 350Z) with 2.5 seconds slashed from the 0-100 mph time.

And it sounds better, too, thanks to an electronically controlled by-pass valve that enriches the exhaust note at a pre-determined engine speed.

NTCE engineers — the very men who tuned the original 350Z to suit European roads and our higher speeds — have undertaken the suspension changes. Working closely with specialists from Bilstein, the changes concentrate on optimising road performance, with improvements in both handling ability and ride comfort. Wider wheels and tyres complete the chassis alterations.

A wind tunnel developed body/aero kit from German firm Strosek not only gives the all-black GT-S a distinctive look, but also improves the 350Z's aerodynamic performance with increased front and rear downforce at speed. The package is completed by a NVH pack which makes the GT-S even more civilised than the standard 350Z.

Steve Robbins said: "We could have produced a balls-out racer with huge power outputs and very little suspension movement. But while this would have created a superb racer, it would have been virtually unusable on the road. Instead we approached the GT-S from an engineering stand-point with a view to creating a 350Z that provides more of everything… performance, handling, looks, comfort and excitement.

"We also looked at the possible marketing potential of such a project and have designed the improvements as individual 'packs' — an engine pack, a suspension pack, aero pack and so on — and kept a close eye on costs."

So will the GT-S ultimately become more than a weekend project by a group of mavericks? Nissan is saying nothing officially, though insiders point to its appearance at Goodwood as a sign the company is giving the GT-S concept serious consideration.

Nissan GT-R Makes North American Debut

The GT-R has landed. For the first time in the model's history, Nissan's sensational GT-R sportscar will be sold on US soil. And clearly for some - namely friend and industry colleague Ray Wert from Jalopnik - that news is just too hot to handle. Rear-ending aside, the GT-R is a 'multi-dimensional' performance vehicle - 'for anyone, at anytime, and anywhere' - debuted to North America at Los Angeles, post its Tokyo unveiling and ahead of the car's showroom debut in June next year.

Styled to perform, the functional design employs advanced aerodynamics which ooze what Nissan call the athleticism of a well-trained sportsman. Its aerodynamics produce a low drag coefficient of 0.27 but maintain high downforce across the car. The body is a hybrid of steel, carbon fibre and die-cast aluminium, with the new GT-R's platform utilising a world-first: independent rear transaxle all-wheel-drive coupled with a rear-mounted transmission and final drive for optimum weight distribution and handling abilities.

Having achieved a famed Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 7:38, one of the fastest laps by a production vehicle to date, the GT-R is a performance machine whose spec sheet statistics add up on the track. The new Nissan pumps out 480 horsepower and an estimated 430 lb-ft of torque from its all-new 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 engine and is mated to an all-new paddle-shift sequential 6-speed gearbox. And yet it still manages to meet ultra low emission vehicle standards.

In the cabin, optimal driving position is provided by the specially-sculpted performance bucket seats while a cockpit-style instrument panel and centre-mounted tachometer and muti-function display provide driving feedback. A 'set-up switch' allows for control over transmission shifts, shock absorbers and the car's Vehicle Dynamic Control system. With three settings - Normal, Comfort or R for ultimate handling - settings can be optimised according to driver requirements.

Pricing for the North American-marketed GT-R was also unveiled, with prices starting from $69,850 for the base model and $71,900 for the Premium model, which includes heated seats, side air bags and an 11-speaker Bose sound system.

Nissan Micra R Concept

Meet the Nissan Micra R, a 150 mph hot hatch that proves the new Micra really is quite unlike anything else on the road.

From bonnet to boot the R is unlike any Nissan Micra ever produced. For a start you won’t be able to lift the lid on its remarkable performance by looking under the bonnet; all you’ll see is a radiator and fuel tank. And you won’t be able to carry anything on the back seats or in the boot because that’s where a 265 bhp fully race-prepared engine sits.

While maintaining the distinct shape and friendly persona of the standard Micra, the R has the squat stance and purposeful poise of a sporting thoroughbred along with performance that matches its looks. There’s a 0-60 mph time of under five seconds and a top speed in excess of 150 mph.

Inside, the stripped racing car-style cockpit features sculpted Sabelt racing seats, five-point safety harnesses and the kind of touches you’d expect in any competition car such as a visible engine Electronic Control Unit, prominent fire extinguisher and hi-tech digital dash display.

But this is no Sunday fun car. It might be strictly a one-off, designed and built with performance driving in mind, but it can be everyday transport too. Chief designer Christopher Reitz added: "It’s very easy to build a £500,000 car if you’re doing everything from scratch. We wanted to do something that was a dream car but that you didn’t have to win the lottery to able to afford. Take the example of the Mini Cooper S in the Sixties. It was a successful competition car but it wasn’t too expensive if you wanted to own one."

Affordable it might be but one thing’s certain: it won’t just be hot-hatch owners who will be drooling with envy; the Micra R will give supercar drivers something to think about too. And Reitz would like to see it in competition as well. "I think it would be great to have a one-make series," he said. "If you provide cars that are all equal as well as safe and fun to drive the skill of the driver starts to become more important than it is in many areas of motorsport."

With the engine now sitting where the rear seats and fuel tank are usually located, RML has used all its experience to make the Micra R into a reliable and viable every day machine. To cool the engine, a radiator from an Almera 2.2 dCi has been slotted beneath the bonnet and cleverly the engineers have used the now redundant exhaust tunnels beneath the body to fit cooling ducts. Integrated with a touring car style aerodynamic ‘splitter’ at the front these ducts ensure that the engine can be fed with more than enough cool air to keep it performing at its peak.

Nissan NISMO 350Z

For the first time ever in the Nissan Z’s 37-year history, a high-performance NISMO 350Z is part of the extensive Z lineup. The new 2007 Nissan NISMO 350Z, which makes its North American debut at the 2007 New York International Auto Show, features an extensively developed list of unique equipment – including a special body package and improved handling equipment. This new model, the fifth in the 2007 350Z Coupe lineup, is available with a 6-speed manual transmission only. It goes on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide in July 2007.

NISMO, the premier supplier of high-performance aftermarket parts and accessories for Nissan vehicles in the United States since 2003, previously participated in the development of the NISMO Frontier off-road pickup truck, introduced in 2005. The NISMO 350Z is the second Nissan model to be branded with the legendary marque. Like the Frontier model, which is specially equipped for off-road excursions, the 2007 NISMO 350Z is optimized for enthusiast drivers.

"With the combination of the new VQ35HR engine found on all 2007 350Zs and NISMO performance and design enhancements, the NISMO 350Z represents the pinnacle of Nissan performance machines," said Bill Bosley, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America, Inc.

The most striking visual feature of this special vehicle is the NISMO aerodynamics package, which strongly resembles the Super GT championship winning Zs. Featuring an aggressive front fascia with chin spoiler, side skirts, an extended rear fascia with underbody diffuser and a rear wing, the NISMO 350Z produces additional aerodynamic downforce to provide enhanced cornering and handling performance.

Special consideration is given during assembly of the NISMO 350Z – structural rigidity is enhanced by additional body welds to the already rigid 350Z body and additional supports have been added front and rear. The NISMO 350Z also utilizes special body dampers mounted in the front radiator core support and in the rear cargo area, which assist in controlling body vibrations.

Additional performance features include a special NISMO-tuned independent multi-link suspension, Brembo brakes with four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers (with 12.8-inch front and 12.7-inch rear rotors) and special NISMO-branded gunmetal gray RAYS super lightweight forged-alloy wheels (18x9-inch front and 19x10-inch rear with 245/40 WR18 front, 265/35 WR19 rear Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires). A special NISMO-branded tuned exhaust adds an even more authoritative tone to the Z’s 306-horsepower V6 engine.

"The combination of aerodynamic enhancements and performance tuning adds up to a Z with enhanced cornering, steering precision and handling," said Bosley. "Every exterior and mechanical improvement made to the NISMO 350Z isn’t just for show, it’s also for performance."

Four exterior colors are available, including Redline Red, Magnetic Black, Silver Alloy and Pikes Peak White.

Inside, NISMO 350Z drivers receive special treatment with unique black cloth seats with red inserts, red stitching throughout the interior and special NISMO white-faced tachometer. All NISMO 350Zs receive a serialized NISMO-etched aluminum plaque mounted on the center console, designating its limited edition status.

The NISMO 350Z includes a full complement of 350Z standard features, including the new VQ35HR 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 306 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 268 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm – with more than 90% of torque available between 2,000 and 7,000 rpm. Engine features include variable exhaust cam timing (eCVTCS), a 7,500 rpm rev limit and a symmetric twin ram air intake system.

Frankfurt: Nissan Micra Colour + Concept

Nissan is prepping for the unveiling of the Micra Colour + Concept. Designed by the folks over at Nissan Design Europe, the Micra Colour + Concept's most prominent visual cue is the color like the name suggests. The car is wrapped in a peculiar, yet attractive two-tone color scheme. A Liquid Metal gold paint sweeps over the top half of the vehicle while the rest is given a three coat pearlescent white treatment.

The colour bonanza continues inside with a two-tone treatment. The seats are upholstered in a refreshing white while the carpets and the lower panels are dark yellow. The Micra Colour + Concept is purely a work of boredom by Nissan and is not intended for production. The concept will debut alongside the Mixim Concept in Frankfurt next month. PRESS RELEASE: NISSAN MICRA COLOUR + CONCEPT

The Micra Colour + Concept show car has been designed and conceived at Nissan Design Europe, the company’s European design headquarters in London, to showcase the latest colour and paint technology and to highlight the changes that have been made to the entire Micra range.

The biggest visual impact, however, is the paint effect. Micra Colour + Concept has been given a two-tone treatment with a Liquid Metal gold paint effect running over the top of the car and contrasting with the three coat pearlescent white finish on the car’s flanks.

The gold finish has an intense depth that makes it appear liquid to the touch. The extreme metallic look is the result of a special-effect pigment added to the paint.

Inside the Colour + Concept theme continues with a high contrast between the upper and lower portions of the interior. Re-upholstered in sumptuous white leather, the seats have accented detailing and stitching. Carpets and lower internal panels are a darker acid yellow to contrast with the pale upper portion of the dashboard.
